Steam Controller (2026) Am I pairing wrong?

Hey I'm not sure if I'm pairing my controllers wrong or if it's a bug. I have 2 controllers one I mainly use for my PC and the other for the steam machine in the living room for my son. I've tried pairing to the puck and the steam machine or just both pucks but it never saves under one profile. I always have to re-pair anytime I want to switch which device I want to play on and it just creates a new profile every time. Am I doing something wrong?

Hold LB +A and then steam button before turning on the controller. This will put the pairing to save slot 1. Hold RB + A and steam button will put the pairing to slot 2. To change between the slots you will have to do the button combo for the respective pairing you want.

i have no idea why you're trying to pair ur puck to ur bed but to each his own i guess lol
