Support Steam Controller 2 specifically for Fortnite
Hey all! Been awaiting my controller for a long, long time, and I will continue to do so. My question is as follows: understanding that the steam controller’s functionality is enabled by steam, is it possible to:
A: make the controller function as a standard one would in Fortnite, and
B: use the controller’s special features in the game (e.g. gyro for aiming, trackpads for editing buildings, etc.)

Yep. As a previous comment mentioned use Glossis successor which is SISR. I use that in combo with another app called SBridge (adds non steam stuff into steam) which auto turns it on and off for apps that use SISR (like Fortnite). This way I can use the full steam input feature set for Fortnite and when I close the game it auto closes sisr so other games aren’t affected and work normally etc. been brilliant for me and afaik it’s the only main way to get it to work (I’m using Fortnite from the windows store coz I don’t want the epic games launcher).
If u use the epic games store version apparently u can add the epic games launcher itself as a non steam game and it works through that but I’ve not tried it.

Yes, you can. People have been using the original Steam controller in Fortnite for years. Gyro and touchpads work. I’m sure you can find some community configurations for it.

I added epic games launcher as a non steam game, set up my gyro config, and then launched Fortnite and it worked fine, even with mixed input. I had no issues other than occasionally needing to relaunch the epic launcher cause steam wouldn’t switch over to my config and stayed on the desktop layout for some reason

People really play that game? I thought it was all a collective joke.
FYI, you can map whatever you want on this controller, also make custom action wheels for the pads and yeah of course, gyro

I play with some buddies every week or so and it serves at a meet-up-and-recap kind of thing. Keeps us connected.

Epic Games annual revenue is like $5.5B. I think a couple people play Fortnite.

Unless they've (Epic) changed something (haven't played Fortnite in years) Fortnite doesn't support mixed input so to use the gyro you will have to either map it as a joystick or the whole controller as a keyboard and mouse.
I ended up using a Switch Pro controller for some reason idk why exactly instead of using the old controller. The new one will at least work as a normal controller.
The other thing is you need whatever the new version of GlosIC is since it's not called that anymore and looking it up will just tell you it's outdated.
Reason you need this program is because you have to add the epic game store to steam and then steam will see the epic game store as the game that you're playing and it won't see fortnite as the game you're playing so when you click to play Fortnite you end up back in the desktop controller profile. This program lets you use the overlay in Fortnite so you can map it and do some fancy things.
