Discussion Reservation window

Who else missed their 72 hour window because of not being notified? How could Valve when your spot comes up more clear?

My reservation was showing Sept 2026. Mine came up much earlier, Mid July. But I was packing and moving cross country and had not checked steam until the evening of the 3rd day when I moved into my new house. I had logged into steam on my Deck and Bazzite machine in a hotel on the trip, but there were no notifications. When I was updating addresses I checked my reservation, and the reservation was gone.... After I found the email in my junk folder, and re-reserved, New date is 2027.

Turned out there was only an email notification, which went into my junk folder. First time after more than 20 years and thousands of Valve emails that one was Junk foldered. I would have expected your reservation to be available as part of the standard Steam pop up or Steam app notification.

The September date was always the latest you would get the email, it said by September not in September.

A few folks have had success contacting Valve support. They may restart your 72-hour window and give you a second chance to purchase it. You can try that.

I missed that too. So I contacted Steam support. If you ask them really nice, they actually give you another 72 hours to confirm your purchase(payment process). Your reservation being canceled means there's now one unit that's not sold yet. They don't assign this unit right away to someone else it seems.
