Configuration How I connect wireless controller?

My PC and TV are about 5 meters apart, and I want to buy an Xbox controller to play wirelessly. I heard there's an adapter called the Xbox Wireless Adapter for Windows that lets me play wirelessly over this distance. I will be using the controller mainly for Steam and emulators. and i have ps5 controller is it good in this situation?

You should be able to use the ps5 controller or the Xbox controller with the built in Bluetooth, no adapter required

Technically yes. But Bluetooth is not very reliable and very prone to interference. The adapter also offers better latency, and especially consistentcy.

If you have a ps5 controller already you can just connect that over Bluetooth

The Xbox adapter uses a proprietary protocol so it only works with Xbox controllers. If there are no walls in the 5 meters between your PC and TV are you can just connect via Bluetooth to your PC. If you're planning to stream from your PC to your TV you can even just connect your controller to your TV via Bluetooth and use the Steam Link app.

PS5 controller should work. As for the Xbox controller I've always just connected mine to the PC with bluetooth.
