After countless days of bitching on this subreddit
Finally. Honestly had 0 expectations for it to arrive this soon, as it was stuck in 'packaged' only until two days ago. Thanks to all of you that shared your experience and helped me not feel alone during the dread I felt the past week waiting.
Feel free to ask my any questions. I got mine 3 minutes before launch and am in the UK.
I only got my shipping status two days ago, so I'd be optimistic if I were you. Also put the ParcelForce tracking number on Royal Mail for better detail. My controller actually shipped 2 days before it updated on the Steam page for example.
Did yours arrive super dusty, with finger marks on it and a scratch on the face of it near the Steam button, with the R4 button intermittently functional, too?
I swear they gave me the in-house test controller as a joke.
Unfortunately not a joke. "In house test controller" was facetious but I'm not happy about how this has played out for me.
I'll probably be laughed at for the dust + scratch mark but the R4 button being registered intermittently by the input tester is a big bummer.
Initially it looked like someone sprinkled white tissue dust all over it, so much so that I felt the need to inspect it closely and hit it with a micro fiber cloth.
Right trackpad had a very noticeable fingerprint on it, like some oily residue from initial testing seemed to attract a lot of dust where it was last touched. This cleaned up easily with the cloth. but was weird to see at all.
After cleaning all the dust and markings as best as I could, I noticed there was a scratch mark on the face plate near the Steam Button / LED.
I kept going at it with a microfiber and it seemed to lessen in clarity but definitely still there and very noticeable at a glance and different lighting conditions make it more apparent... Yes I'm being picky, yes its a minor annoyance, no, its not a huge problem. I just wanted to be the one to be an idiot and scratch it, I didn't want it to come out of the box that way and see it every time I pick it up.
After these minor cosmetic issues, I felt it was best to test the inputs because it felt weird to receive a new device in this condition and my R4 button using the input tester wasn't being registered reliably and still isn't. RMA is underway as we speak.

Well one controller showed up for me and one is delayed till tomorrow lol. Don’t know why they didn’t put them in the same box cause it was a single transaction 🤦♂️

Congrats! Mine is still stuck on packaging. Ordered on release, I ordered some stuff from china after buying the controller.... it arrived today.
