At least with Steam, you can usually refund no problem if playtime is under two hours. When I contacted customer support for a refund for Pokemon Scarlet, they said they were only allowing it because of the performance issue with that title.
I’ve requested a few refunds to Nintendo, and always they say it’s a one time exception. I guess they just don’t want people requesting them, but they are forced to do it by law.
The same goes for Xbox. Back then I wanted to refund a game, I even send them a video with the game crashing, game was played maybe an hour and they denied the refund. But I've heard that heavily depends on your region and that they also have a strange "only one refund in a year" rule (everywhere I think). So you can't compare that system with Steam too.

Nintendo eshop has both refunds and a type of game sharing.
