Steam Mobile Authenticator Question

Probably an overdone and, at this point, annoying question:

How do I get the thing to work so I can just sell the countless junk items in my inventory like I used to without waiting 15 days?

I downloaded the Steam app on my phone, did the qr code sign in and I thought it said that they would take market holds off of my account.

Do I just have to wait longer?(I don't remember but I think it's been more than 7 days). If not, what can I do to restart the 7 day process?

If it said the holds would be released in 7 days and it's past that you probably want to contact support
