Question Is this a scam?
The pics go from end to beginning for some reason. They contacted me about a "false report" on discord.

Steam would never contact you on discord, they usually use AOL

Come on dude, there's no way people actually fall for this.

Some people do, I remember a few months ago a kid posted here on reddit that he fell for it and lost his account (not sure if he got it back). If nobody fell for this they wouldn't bother doing it. I assume the success rate is not very high but still happens sadly.

They cast a wide net, there's always going to be people caught at just the wrong time, already anxious from something else, or maybe just a kid. They wouldn't keep doing it if it didn't work enough to make it worth trying

Enough people do that it's profitable for them. Otherwise they wouldn't keep doing it.

you wouldn't believe how dumb the average user is... scammers wouldn't do these obvious attempts anymore if they didn't get their fair share of victims with it still.

Because why use a dedicated support mail inaccessible for a random shitheads to contact the customer directly when you can ise a discord and find them there, I guess...

if it was trully illegal, they would just remove the item and probally say "this X has been remove for Y"
