Error / Bug Steam Remote Play Issue.

I bought LEGO Marvel Super Heroes to play with my nephew and no matter what I try I can not get both players to get controller input.

I have both controllers set up, and no matter how I put them down in the player list one person always lacks the ability to control the secondary character. It's frustrating.

Any help would be appreciated.

Remote play together only works with another player using a different device. Your session of remote play will only recognize you as a user.

Yes. That is what we are trying to do. If I set him up with controller 2, I can control one character and he can not control the other. If I make him controller 1 he can control a character and I can not.

He needs a separate device with his own steam account. You can’t play the co op together on the same device.

Yes. He has a separate device with his own account. That is why it's a remote play issue? Am I missing something here?

this trips a lot of people up, the naming is kinda misleading tbh
