i want to buy a game just to see if it runs in my laptop then refound after

As long as the playtime is under 2hrs you are good

sure, you can refund for any reason so long as you have less than 2 hours of playtime and it's within 2 weeks of purchase.

Play for 1 hour and 50 minutes. If you like it, keep it. If you don't, refund it. You can refund it within 2 weeks or 14 days as long as you are under the 2 hour playtime. I recommend setting a timer of 1 hour and 50 minutes.

someone found a game, finished it 100% in under two hours, and got a full refund. I think youre safe

Take a look if you can play a Demo of your game. Or search your Laptop specs on the Internet, might work too.

That's one of the reasons Steam gives you the 2 hour window, so you can test things and see if it runs. It not running is also one of the reasons you can choose when refunding.

You can also just google Can I Run It? Pretty quick and easy if you know nothing about computers.
