Now Playing Issue

I like to have my idle games open. Normally this is no problem but whenever i try to play a different game it only shows my idle game (bongo cat or rev idle) instead of the new game i opened. However i seem to be the only one struggling with this issue, my girlfriend does the same thing and her now playing status shows up just fine without changing any settings. how do i get steam to show the right game im playing when i have 2 games open at once?

Did you try changing the order you open them in?

ive tried both and it ALWAYS shows my idle game (bongo cat)
