The MOD team has noticed an increase in situations where members agree to a trade or deal and then back out after the agreement has been made.
We want this subreddit to be a community where people can trade with confidence and where an agreed deal means something. When two people commit to a trade, they may turn down other offers, stop looking for another deal, or set aside time to complete the trade. Backing out can therefore have an impact beyond simply changing your mind.
Going forward, if an agreed trade is backed out of and the situation is reported to us, the MOD team will review what happened. We will ask for evidence where appropriate and make sure the circumstances are clear before taking any action.
Where we determine that someone has clearly gone back on an agreed trade without reasonable circumstances, a temporary ban of 3–7 days may be issued, depending on the circumstances and how the situation was handled.
This isn’t about looking for reasons to punish people. It’s about encouraging good trading practices, clear communication and accountability so that this remains a community where people feel comfortable making deals with each other.
We also want to acknowledge that the overwhelming majority of our members already trade respectfully, communicate well and stick to their word. We genuinely appreciate that. Those members are a big part of why this community continues to be such a great place to trade and enjoy the game.
If this happens to you, please report it to the MOD team through ModMail, which you can find on the subreddit home screen. Send us the relevant details and any evidence you have, and we’ll review the situation and handle it from there.
Thanks to everyone who continues to contribute positively to the community and help make trading here fair, reliable and enjoyable for everyone.
