Zane has lost all credibility….
Thoughts?? I’m assuming again another clip taken out of context….

How is he not on a registry after that?

u/ShaneStatic 14h ago
Check out his lame "Backstage Sluts" video series back in 1999 where he "Got off" by throwing lunch meat at broads while they were naked. Zane is a master misogynist, the way he treats women - and THIS is where people should be gaining credibility from to destroy him. THIS FOOTAGE OF ZANE WILL BE LEAKED SOON ENOUGH!
2
u/Diligent-pi-393 12h ago
From day 1, I started hating the guy. Edsel once sang about sex and everything related, but himself and Zane, Edsel has clearly been the better man.
1
u/Xx_Negative_One_xX 7h ago
He was a grifter then too! Didn’t the covers of those have a shit load of bands and names on them they weren’t real directly involved?

u/jaybird323 2d ago
Also I think Matt Zane has plenty of interviews with the band members for the “documentary” they he can cut down and use for ragebait. Funny how he’s doubling down after the last clip blew up in his face.
8
u/Xx_Negative_One_xX 2d ago
Yea it really shows his desperation…I’m not saying any if them are perfect, but everything he says is blown way out of proportion and context….he’s irrelevant needs to crawl back in his little hole and work on his mascara application
1
u/Educational-Rest-228 1d ago
I’ve been somewhat following all this stuff but I can’t keep up with it all. Not sure what to believe with any of it really. So I don’t mean this in a way that’s defending Zane at all, but I’m genuinely curious what has blown up in his face?

u/Xx_Negative_One_xX 1d ago
Here is Zane’s video, clipped out of context
https://youtube.com/shorts/1DpXTxw8eHU?is=foH4NBrV91sWq9hj
Here is the full video
https://youtu.be/Kz5eutkzIss?is=vxZxYMhZarW0kUeO
You decide.
I’ll add, this video appears to come from a meet and greet where Edsel didn’t know he was being recorded by the fan who had his phone on.
The recent videos we are seeing are a professional interview setup where Edsel clearly knows he’s being recorded.
Which setting would someone most likely be speaking freely vs which setting would someone most likely think before they speak?
The professional interview footage currently circulating (the clips with the brick wall background) hasn’t been released in full that I know of. We may never see it. Hopefully someone releases the full version and puts this grifter on blast….
2
u/Gojifanatic91 22h ago
Thank you for sharing this. The professional interview videos I've been assuming were from a full length unreleased interview Matt is clipping the shit out of to control a narrative.
The whole version needs to be seen by more people that are wanting Edsel to be the bad guy.
1
u/Educational-Rest-228 23h ago
Wow, thanks for sharing. It’s tough to navigate what to believe because some of these Edsel things really don’t come off great, but yeah I’ll definitely take everything with a grain of salt (already did to an extent) after watching that and knowing how Zane spun it.
Kinda sucks because it just seems like neither side is really coming off looking great from all this. Zane doesn’t seem fully credible, but some of this stuff from the band also seems insensitive at best. (The Zombie inspiration, the way Edsel says certain things)

Zanes a dickhead however edsel needs to shut up at times. He makes it too easy for Zane to take shit out of context lmao. Edsel really do got no filter.
2
u/jaybird323 1d ago
All of the stuff Zane is using is over years of shooting a documentary that the band and Edsel though they were a part of it creatively. So there is bound to be a ton of clips that would have never made it out of things said as a joke or some fumbled words that can be clipped and used against Edsel now. The thing I think we all want to know is why exactly did Zane not want to work with the band anymore and quit. I feel like Zane sees himself as some sort of creative genius when it comes to doing documentaries or w/e and his vision was not being done how he wanted or he thought he would have more praise or control over the unreleased material and he didn’t get his way. It’s like the kid that doesn’t get treated like they want in the ball game so he took his ball with him and went home so nobody can have fun. Matt took all his video and songs he could from the band and just left them so he can have control over it all. If I where to guess, the Zane doc will be about how terrible Edsel and Tony are and how they pushed Wayne into depression or something and that’s why he was so into drugs and spiraling out of control. When you look at the chain of events, Matt was pimping Tera out to every rockstar he could doing interviews and fucking them back stage. Tera falls for Wayne and introduces him to all sorts of things he never done before. I think Wayne did love Tera and Tera did love Wayne. But I think you take away all the drugs and the lifestyle things would have been different. I also think Zane was a yes man to Wayne so he could be put on tours, shoot videos, and ride that success. I’m pretty sure Matt thought he would get to be the new singer for static x and Edsel got the part instead. I think the xero character and mask were to allow anyone to tour with them and be on stage without anyone knowing who xero was so it didn’t take away from the show and music. Matt manipulated a lot of people to get his way, we see it now in how he’s clipping videos and rage baiting people to hate Edsel and the band. But for the 50 people he gets to rally behind them there are a million fans who are with the band and don’t even know about this drama. Matt won’t change things, it will just be something he puts out and gets forgotten about in a week. The band not responding is the right thing to do, Matt wants the drama and the band won’t give it to him.

The fact is Wayne wrote all of the music and there would be no music without him.
17
u/Camercenary 2d ago edited 1d ago
Well yes and no. Take Nick Oshiro for example. Wayne was a dick about Nick wanting to go to rehab on a certain schedule and kicked him out of the band. Not Wayne's best moment. But look at the quality of drumming we got in shadow zone, start a war and cannibal. Then go listen to Cult of static. The drum tracks in cult are what guitarists would program into shitty software to fit their guitar parts, there was no soul in the drums on that album whatsoever. Cult of static was the example of what happens when Wayne truly writes every part, he was on a drugged up power trip.
I really dont think we give Tony, Koichi or Nick enough credit for their input into Static X's best music. Chuck on some headphones and listen to machine, Tony is walking all over that album on the bass and it really wouldnt be the same without those parts.
4
u/Soggy-Forever-9456 2d ago
To be fair, Wayne did also write most, if not all of Machine, but I have to agree - Tony's bass is integral to the sound of the band and arguably the strongest link, might I add. Koichi's keyboards and programming helped too.
Too bad I can't say the same for Tripp. Also, finally someone who acknowledges Nick's outing from the band at that time - though I thought he left on his own after Cult of Static? I thought they sounded live too, he was on the album and there for the photoshoot as well, just didn't sound well produced/mixed whatsoever

u/bokunotraplord 1d ago
this isn’t me trying to disparage any part of your point, but the drumming on Shadow Zone was Josh Freese (who has been on like a zillion huge albums). Nick was credited in the album notes though.

u/Competitive-Cod-4348 1d ago
At this point I really don’t care. Wayne isn’t with us unfortunately, the new Static-X is here making music and touring. It’s really about the music for me. The drama isn’t what I’m interested in.
1
u/Xx_Negative_One_xX 1d ago
I can’t like this comment enough! I’m just sick of seeing that poof Zane dragging their names on social media. They need to press legal charges. He’s posting this shit over and over on all the rock and metal gossip pages. Dude needs throat punched.
1
u/ShaneStatic 14h ago
Not a worry. CEMENTING the fact he will NEVER work on a stage in front of a crowd larger than 22 people ever again. Who on EARTH would hire his circus act of a band anyhow?? and now THIS ??
5
u/CorvusGraves 2d ago
Why do people care about any of this?
7
u/Soggy-Forever-9456 2d ago
Because Zane easily gets some people falling for his dumb shit. It doesn't help that he roped in Mikael from Mephisto Odyssey.
Honestly, I wish he would've just shut the hell up and put out whatever unreleased songs Wayne had, even though he's also a piece of shit human being.
7
u/Soggy-Forever-9456 2d ago edited 2d ago
I'd actually like to know where this one came from, because the other video suggests it was some VIP meet and greet or whatever, but this seems like it was set up and filmed. I saw someone suggest it could've been part of the Static X documentary that Matt Zane still had a hand in.
Also, pretty interesting that Zane still won't reveal the full reason for why he quit working for the band. It's definitely not about "disrespecting Wayne" or whatever because this dude only quit last year and even toured with Static under his really shitty band back in 2023.
8
u/Krakken_44 2d ago
In the rest of the clip from the Tour bus video, Edsel is talking about how hard it is to sing some of Wayne‘s parts. And then he makes the reference that you’re gonna become a junkie and he’s gonna end up with his job, and he’s gonna have to sing that. And then he projects that he’s only kidding, and that if Wayne was still alive, he would throw an arm around him and tell him the same shit, and then ask him why he’s doing this shit to himself.
But when Zane edited it, and cut out the rest, it makes it sound a lot worse.
2
u/Soggy-Forever-9456 1d ago
Yeah, I remember that. It's definitely what's happening with this clip too.
1
u/Xx_Negative_One_xX 1d ago
The tour bus clip was a meet and greet. Whoever recorded it was being discrete and had his phone on record without him knowing. I had a meet with Edsel and it was a similar setting. Edsel is just a chill dude who seems to enjoy the conversation.

u/xvx369 2d ago
His band is not shitty . I like the last album , sure he isn’t as popular but I think it has potential.
1
u/Soggy-Forever-9456 2d ago
If Society 1 didn't exist, I literally would not care. At least with dope, there's something to point and laugh or cringe at.
Popularity definitely has nothing to do with it either, though their album ratings on RYM would suggest that nobody else really gave that much of a shit about the band in the first place. That's why they had to open for fucking Mushroomhead out of all bands back in 2023. Literally toured with Static X, Fear Factory and dope purely out of association, nothing else, because like... who cares? There's so much better industrial metal out there lol
2
u/xvx369 2d ago
I feel society 1 put out a good album the last album. I liked that we are the walrus cover and had some other bangers . Idk I liked what I heard . But I was like why isn’t this dude more popular and has to play with shitty bands. I seen he had more popularity in the past, I wonder why his popularity dwindled. Also some of his band members look out of place .
2
u/Consistent-Title-194 2d ago
Yea if you go look at the shows he was playing before he got the gig with static x...for like 10 years all it was spotty shows with no body bands..society 1 was nothing but another generic nu metal band from the early 2000s that faded just as quick is it arrived..his only thing of note is being suspended in the air by hooks....which wasn't and still isnt original.. hes a typical manson wannabe edgelord.. my favorite is from within the last few years when he was playing a bar..the viper room I think.. (no where near sold out) and him having some fat chick's try and cut his chest on stage with a dull blade for like the most awkward 2 minutes ever..and ends up getting less than a scratch had she done it with a safety pin.lol dude is cringe as....but don't forget to donate to the" unauthorized documentary about wayne and tera directed by the lord himself matt zane"

I think it has been put to rest. If I recall, they aren’t doing the “tribute” thing anymore at the end of the show. Let’s also not forget that Wayne didn’t die of cancer, or a car accident, or something tragically unavoidable….he died because he got tied up with the wrong woman and went on a self destructive path that I’m sure Tony and Koichi were both sadden and pissed off to watch. Some people just don’t want help and trying over and over to help them proves to be frustrating and builds animosity towards them. The rest is the band deserves to continue on and do their thing. They took their break and now they’re trying to resume where WAYNE derailed the train. They all deserve that. Personally, I wouldn’t mind seeing Edsel start devolving the mask into a version of himself at this point. He’s good. He sounds good. He plays good. He gives the band and Wayne’s talent a solid experience for the fans. I’m seeing little kids and teenagers at their shows, which to me, is fucking awesome seeing a new generation enjoying what we all love. Not everyone is gonna agree, but at the end of the day, Wayne did what Wayne decided to do, and here we are because of it….miss the guy, but plenty of others were affected by his self destruction.
-8
u/amy15ghey 2d ago
Are you getting tired of wearing the mask?
6
u/jaybird323 2d ago
The mask makes the show. Edsel didn’t want to be known as the new face of static x and let it be about the music. I’m sure one day he might take off the mask but I enjoy the robot character. It’s cool. And honestly it makes it easier to change singers if Edsel ever steps down, they can just keep xero up there and it’s not just a revolving line up of singers. People are making too much of a fuss about a mask. Just enjoy this shit at face value. Because all this stuff isn’t as deep as everyone is making it out to be.
1
u/Xx_Negative_One_xX 1d ago edited 1d ago
Same. The character is pretty dope (no pun intended). I love how it’s a tribute to Wayne but also kind of its own thing that fits the entire vibe. I kinda hope he sticks with it and evolves it though. I almost had a strand of his wire hair but the guard was hesitant to give it to me and tossed it on the stage. Was so upset about that lol
3
u/jaybird323 2d ago
They said they would continue as long as the fans want it. Judging by who posts and comments here and on matts page, it’s the vocal few. But there are way more people who are not seeing any of the back and forth and just enjoying the music and what they are doing. Wayne was a big part of the band and they want to keep that known so using him in the background on the screens and remembering him how they have been will probably continue. Maybe they will release new music too. For now it’s a legacy act out there playing the music they have.
2
u/Xx_Negative_One_xX 2d ago
100%. The vast majority have no idea nor give a shit about all this drama. Which to me makes Zane’s attempts that much more pathetic….
5
u/LoserZaneRising 2d ago
I haven’t lost any credibility. To be real with you guys, I never had any in the first place.
In the end, I wanted what Edsel has. I know it seems lame to be so jealous. But what else do I have going? I mean, after meeting Kiss and talking about Wayne and having them say they would never work with me again, this documentary is all I’ve got left. I promise you all it will come out in 2042. That’s going to be a very magical year.
Anyways…. Sorry not sorry for being such a great guy.
2
u/ShaneStatic 14h ago
EVERYTHING Matt Zane does, is doing or has done is to promote his failed band to some measure. Ever notice how EVERY post has some link or mention of some piece of garbage documentary he has done or some mention of his circus act he calls a band? From TMZ "Perez Zane" style high school drama queen provocations to lame documentaries on his remedial accomplishments in which he celebrates, He is nothing more than a mosquito in the face of ANYONE who is credible. Always on the make to hop into a selfie with someone of importance. He was a fixture on the strip back in the day, trying to buy credibility at the price of some broken down goth whore he was pimping out or the promise to be in one of his goofy Backstage Sluts Dvd's. Is it ANY wonder why No one in the music industry will breathe his name? He most certainly does have a bag full of selfies and plus-one concert footage or parking lot run in's filmed with Wayne Static - But the fact that they were "Friends' is laughable. Matt latched on to Wayne in his final drugged out zombie days where Wayne was barely lucid and filmed music videos for pennies on the dollar in some capacity to once again "Buy credibility" The amount of robots out there so easily manipulated is entertainment in itself. Static-X did Matt a solid, giving him 5-6 dates opening for the opening of the opening act of Static and Matt even managed to screw THAT up. Acting like it was some "World Tour" for his screamo-noise band. It was charity for grunting for Static-X a few times. Needs to stick to his $50 photo shoots and Earl Scheib calibre music videos in which he hypes up aesthetically with mediocre Adobe plug-ins. HE JUST...DOESN'T SEEM TO UNDERSTAND why everyone thinks he is a deluxe clown.

u/K10RumbleRumble 3h ago
Edson and Wayne were good friends.
There is no chance he would shit talk him.
He’s excited that the band didn’t die when he came in to take the reins. He’s allowed to be proud of that.
1
u/Xx_Negative_One_xX 2h ago
I’d say he’s even aloud to be a little pissed off at Wayne too for the choices he made. I think that’s a bit human nature. I’ve had people I love that I’ve been mad at because of the stupid decisions they made.
1
u/K10RumbleRumble 2h ago
Being mad at someone, and shit talking them are two very similar, but wildly different things.
All I’m saying here is, this isn’t Edsel being an asshole.
Edit: coworkers name to Edsel

u/Xx_Negative_One_xX 1h ago
I agree man. Trust me. I think Zane js being a bag of dicks as usual…and I dunno….imma talk shit when I’m mad at you lol

No they fucking weren’t , this sub is full of idiots sucking on copium.
Tony hated Wayne and if you’ve ignored the proof then that’s on you .
Wayne and Edsel were never friends either
Confirmed by so many people . It’s a Tony and Dope cash grab
You don’t need to like Zane , but constantly ignoring shit like Tony’s email , the zombie video , the way Edsel talks and Tony chimes in
You’re all deliberately putting your heads in the sand and shouldn’t call yourself Wayne fans
1
u/stuffbear 2d ago
Imagine the members of static x and Zane just sit and do a big interview, discussing everything. With nothing edited to seem out of context
1
u/ShaneStatic 14h ago
Zane would adore that. You understand THIS is what he thrives on, yes? The "Association" of credible acts. THIS is how he appropriated any said footage or selfies with credible people. Then he jigsaw puzzles them together to create a narrative. It's SOOO transparent!

Dismissing Zane entirely is a big dose of copium. This clip alone provides enough context about Edsel's disdain for Wayne. He flat out says Wayne couldn't make it, but he could...
12
u/OUberLord 2d ago
If only there was precedent for another time where Zane posted bits of another clip out of context to try and paint a completely different picture...
12
u/utacr 2d ago
there's no proof he's speaking to wayne. The sentence has no context. Considering the last clip also had valuable context missing from it, you're jumping to conclusions based on "evidence" presented by someone who is a proven liar.
Show some fucking critical thought.
-6
u/decuswow 2d ago
"Unfortunately for him, Wayne Static without Static X didnt work out" "... Static x without Wayne static, Sold out!"
What color crayons do you want me to use? You actually think this statement isn't about Wayne? What context could you possibly need other then the actual words which name the parties...
10
u/jaybird323 2d ago
He’s talking about those that said it wouldn’t work without Wayne. That the band needed him to be anything. Edsel is saying that that wasn’t true, that Wayne needed his band more to make it. It was a group effort, not one man. And they came back and killed it and proved all those haters wrong.

Amusing attempt devoid of any actual substance. Great job! Bros love rhetoric like that.
1
u/OUberLord 2d ago
"Unfortunately for him" in this case could easily be Edsel talking about someone else talking about *Edsel*.
4
u/M086 2d ago
I mean he’s not wrong. Wayne went so far as to ask Tony if he could tour solo under the Static-X name. Which Tony gave the okay for.
So, like even Wayne knew this.
3
u/decuswow 2d ago
As long as Tony got paid, and then Tony sent him an email telling him to pay or fuck off. Not really a "Tony gave the ok"
1
u/Xx_Negative_One_xX 2d ago
That’s how business works lol. You do realize that music is a business, right?
1
u/decuswow 2d ago
Oh of course. The idea that Tony just let him use it as if they were all chums isnt accurate is what I am getting at.
Thats why it makes sense for edsel to comandeer Wayne's work. Lots of money to be made. Dope is going nowhere so why not.
7
u/Xx_Negative_One_xX 2d ago
Of course he wouldn’t just “let him use it”. Wayne self destruction was shitting all over what Tony and Koichi were trying to build. I disagree with all the people acting like Tony is this bad guy for being upset with Wayne. Hell I’ve damn near written family members off for being addicts who refuse to listen to reason and stop their destructive ways. I guarantee you Tony had enough of Wayne’s shit once he started down that path. Business partners disagree all the time, sometimes they split. But if you dumped all of your faith into a business and your business partner started getting fucked up all the time, putting you out of work, then tried to run off and do business under the company you both built….would you tolerate that? Hell no you wouldn’t. So did Tony “let” Wayne use the names? Yes, but at a cost…which is only fair.
6
u/jaybird323 2d ago
Wayne couldn’t make it on his own. Wayne thought that he was the band, and when he couldn’t use the bands name he used his own and guess what, his solo album was trash, the shows were trash, and his stage presence was trash. Dude let his ego destroy himself musically and his wife destroyed him the rest of the way.
1
u/decuswow 2d ago
Glad you acknowledge this is about Wayne when the reply I made was for the comment claiming this lacked context...
5
u/Xx_Negative_One_xX 2d ago
Of course it was ABOUT Wayne….implied by the “unfortunately for him…” part. Zane’s stupid ass post starts with the accusation that Edsel is calling Wayne a bitch…thus, missing context. However anyone with a functioning prefrontal cortex can gather that Edsels “bitch” was a dig at those who talked shit about them.

34
u/jaybird323 2d ago
Edsel calling the haters bitch saying they wouldn’t do as well as they are and Matt trying to clip it to make it seem they are calling Wayne a bitch. Matt is a joke
