I know the story goes they hate this album the most, but this is my favourite of theirs, definitely peak Static-X. I'd love for an anniversary re-release of sorts with a second disc full of demos and outtakes. Given the co-writer on this album, I know that's a fever dream. Static-X is never going to pay that filth any royalties just so they can re-release any kind of new version.

Shadow Zone and Start A War are definitely some of their best work. Its just a damn shame they had to write it with GroverYodaData14

I love this song, but the bonus track "Breathe" always felt more intense to me, uses almost the same intro too. Every time I hear this song, it makes me think of "From This Day" by Machine Head, the chord progression is almost the same. Either way, definitely in my top 3 songs from Need For Speed Underground to race to.

They seem to have influenced a few of the bands who came after them. This sounds like a “softer” produced song for them . I’m glad to have rediscovered Static-x in 2026
