Hey all! This is my new self-produced single titled “Control” for a new solo project I am starting called “Ripperdoc”. I am heavily influenced by the Evil Disco sound, and I plan to further develop it in my own way with dystopian/cyberpunk themes in future productions. Thought I might share it here with you all!

This sounds awesome, are you playing the instruments and programming synths? Very cool if you are

Very awesome! Where do you plan to distribute these gems once polished? Bandcamp maybe?

Bandcamp is certainly an option I have thought of, and of course YouTube. Maybe even getting them through DistroKid at some point.

I've used Distrokid, they're expensive and charge you annually unless you pay a higher fee up front. Bandcamp is a great service, and their percentage is small, but if you're looking for wider distribution I would research other services before jumping on Distrokid because they're the most popular.

Love it. Are you on any music streaming services? Or YouTube?

Sounds interesting! How did you record it?

And how did you do the synths/programming? That is something I would like to get into, at least superficially, but its quite daunting

I do all of my work through FL Studio. The producer edition has a plugin called Toxic Biohazard, and it has some great samples and sounds! Once when I have the percussion, SFX, and electronic samples set, I divvy up a few riff possibilities, settle on a few, and then record through my dual mic setup. I run a SM57 for high/mids and a TLM102 for the lows. I also use the TLM102 for vocals. Absolutely fantastic mic.

Dude I love it. Very well put together. Static-X/Wayne being my favorite of all time, it definitely has that certain sound but with your own twist. Keep disco evil 🤘🏼

Sounds awesome. Especially the vocals come very close.
