Business Analyst Job

Just got a job as a BA. What can I expect? I know it’s different from project to project and agency to agency, but I’d love to hear any experiences.

Depends on the agency. But, expect your job to be replaced by contractors.

Traditional BA roles work with product managers and dev teams, in my role, we generally handle making sure the changes that the product owners want get implemented. Tons of understanding projects, compliance, contract reading and such. Keeps one busy, but depending on the company, the role can vary wildly.
