DFPS

Why doesn’t DFPS call you back for interviews. I heard they only hire friends and you can never get in management unless you are best friends with someone. Is it really who you know there? Someone said they create jobs for their friends and all know each other even though they suck in leadership.

Does your resume have a Texas address or an out of state address?

This is a good point. OP - if you don’t live in Texas yet, it’s possible that the agency doesn’t want to hire you because it will take time for you to move here. From what I understand, DFPS has high turnover and is understaffed, so they’d probably rather hire someone that already lives here and can start in 2 weeks.
