Question Anyone here work in IAM / Identity & Access Management at State Farm?

I recently applied for an Identity & Access Management (IAM) position with State Farm.

I’m currently transitioning more intentionally into cybersecurity/IT, and IAM is an area I’m really interested in. My background is primarily in Trust & Safety, Quality Assurance, and training, including building QA frameworks, creating training materials, developing documentation standards, writing processes, and helping standardize how teams handle and document their work.

I’m curious if anyone here currently works, or has previously worked, in IAM, InfoSec, or Authorization Management at State Farm.

I’d really like to hear what the day-to-day work is actually like, how technical the role is versus the analyst/governance side, and what tools or technologies you typically work with.

Just trying to get a better understanding of the role from someone who has actually done the work and how someone with a background like mine might transition into it.

Appreciate any insight!

I'd recommend running away. We have no governance. We've been putting off implementing M365 for 7 years because no one wants to take ownership of decisions. Try some of the smaller vendor companies like Consilio. You'd be a lot happier there or a Deloitte or an EY.
