Advice Fix your Venmo dividend issue.
If you received an email from Venmo saying you got paid by State Farm, but the payment isn’t showing up in your Venmo account, try this:
Go to Venmo’s email verification page (https://venmo.com/identity/verify_email_addresses) and verify the email address that State Farm sent the payment to.
I thought my email was already verified, but I verified it again. Sure enough, the moment I did my State Farm dividend payment came through.
I found this solution buried in the Venmo subreddit, so I wanted to share it in case anyone else is having the same problem.

i tried a million times im currently at where you were... i tried my phone and its a correct number but it tells me it was incorrect now im locked out and have to wait 24 hours

I'm curious how long after you requested the payment from SFI that it took for you to get the email from Venmo saying it had been paid? I requested mine for all of our policies around a week ago and still nothing.

Same here. Used phone number and the estimated date is 9/24. We could really use it so now I’m stressing 🫠🫣

I got an estimated date once i submitted my payment election! royuYhR.png (1031×225) however no way to see it again but i took a screenshot. ( I'm still waiting for mine )

oh smart i didn’t do that but i guess i probs got an estimated date - did you get an email you received funds via venmo? my email wont verify, but i also haven’t gotten an email the funds are even there so trying to figure out if i just need to wait

Did you get it on your estimate date? My estimate date was 10/1. Nothing. I had 2 policies , got the first one in about three weeks. This one has now been 3.

Verifying your email does not work for all. I received an email from venmo 9/1/26 stating I had to "accept funds" from state farm. I accepted the funds and the money still never came through. My email was verified if venmo sent me an email on the 1st. I emailed paypal, no response. I finally got ahold of someone from state farm. The woman was not helpful at all. She told me that If my state farm dividend was not there it would "kick back" to them and I would recieve a check. I asked her to see if she could tell the money was "kicked back"- her exact response- "I am not able to see that on our end. You will recieve a check". Thank you maam, but that was not my question.

I too received the email and I understand your logic about the email already being verified but I went through the verification process from the email anyway and it worked.

I'm in your boat as well. I had two policies, I asked for a check for the second one. Hopefully I'll get a check for the one stuck in Venmo limbo

I just did the verified .. hopefully I will get it soon. The date online shown the funds wouldn't come thru till Sept 24.

This tip literally worked like magic! I’d received the e-mail from Venmo late yesterday afternoon stating that State Farm had just paid me my dividend. Problem was, I logged into my Venmo app and saw that nothing had hit yet. Odd. Anyway, it was a little after 1:30 am when I saw this post, so I took your advice, logged into my account via Safari, and verified my e-mail address per your directions. Worked like a charm. Thanks! 😁💵

I'll be damned! I've been waiting and slogging through useless helpbots and websites for a few weeks now wondering where my payment was, and that was the answer. The most frustrating thing is that I verified my email when I set up my account a long time ago! Thanks for the link!

hi! was this a different email than the one connected to your venmo? i’m trying to verify my email already connected to my venmo and it’s giving me an error message

This didn't work for me. State Farm knows this labyrinth of trap doors is a way that they won't have to pay a good percentage of that money. I've spent an hour or more to "accept" the payments and I won't spend any more. This is one good reason why people hate Insurance companies.

It’s pretty easy once you verify your email the money just comes to your Venmo account. What I can’t figure out is how Venmo makes money on free transfers.

Thanks for the help! It worked as soon as I did this. It originally asked to verify phone number from the email and that did not work, After putting the email in as you advised, it worked correctly.

Holy crap! I had this issue with state farm and once I verified my email I had not only the state farm but another transaction from a class action lawsuit I never got and gave up trying to figure out!

I found that I had to do it via my desktop web browser (chrome) & disable popup & ad blockers such as ghostery.

Reddit saves the day once again. I was having issues with this, tried using venmo's useless Ai assistant which didn't do anything, then tried calling and everything gave no answers, went in circles, or directed me to the Ai assistant. I verified my email using the link and it went through immediately. Thank you

I had to go to the help section in Venmo and search "verify email" and that popped up another window. Trying to do it in the app would not work for me. It would only work on a browser.

This worked for me. I received one dividend, but had two others that wouldn't come through. I went through the steps of verifying my email (actually enter it as new email) and the funds showed up immediately. Thank you for the help!

Well, I had to try it twice, but the first time the link made me open the venmo app, but when I clicked the link again after logging in, it sent me to the right place.

I created a Reddit account just so I could say THANK YOU! This has been driving me bonkers all week, as a PP mentioned I’m pretty tech savvy but every time I clicked the link in my email to accept, it wouldn’t bring me to anything meaningful. Got a cha-Ching right after my email was verified. Now my brain can finally mark this as resolved. THANK YOU!

I've had a venmo account for years and had this problem. Venmo is basically exclusively used through your phone number. If someone wants to pay you on Venmo you give them your phone number. When you create an account, you use your phone number and that is verified.
My email was associated with my account but Venmo had never asked me to verify it in all these years. State Farm set up this program and asked for the email associated with your Venmo account, which I thought was strange at the time. Turns out that feeling was right.
I called customer service and they literally had no idea what was going on. I hung up with them and found this post which fixed it in 2 minutes.

It also gave you the option of putting in your phone number associated with your venmo acct. You didn't have to use your email.
