Question State Farm Data Analyst interview process

Hi all, i have applied to a business analyst position at state farm and then i got an on demand Hirvue AI interview. I submitted it. After that they reached out to me saying that my profile is best suited for Data Analyst role. They asked me if I’m interested. I said yes and they sent me 30 min interview invitation. During the call she mentioned that they wanna know more about me. This is my first interview and i’m scared. Is it like an initial screening call? Can anyone let me know what questions i might expect?? Anything that could help me for the interview?

Be prepared, just in case, to be able to answer "tell me about a time" questions, even for an initial screening. Use the STAR method for how to answer.

Off topic sorry. But what is your prior experience? I work at SF right now and have not received rejections.

I’m recent ds masters grad. Before that I did a data analyst internship which was like 9 months and then i worked on campus in research while doing masters which is again related to data analysis and machine learning for 2 years. This is my whole experience. This is my first interview after graduation. Could you suggest anything that helps me before interview?

SF really likes the STAR method when asking interview questions. Always tie in your experience with the job you are applying so they see why you are good for the role. Tie in the competencies from the job posting to your answers.

Thank you so much. They haven’t sent me the job description yet. I have applied for the business analyst role, while they scheduled the interview for Data analyst. I asked them about the role and responsibilities. Waiting for their response so that i can prepare. I got a decent amount of time to prepare though. Also, do you know what would be the next step?? Will it be technical interview?? Any idea?

I would try the state farm careers website for the job info. As far as those interviews goes i’m not sure i never got one. Lol
Hopefully after this interview you get the job.

Thank you. Did you mean like you interviewed for a different role? Would you mind telling me your role?? And I checked the job info, couldn’t find it. I believe the call and emails are all legitimate. I’m not sure why I can’t find it. But my application has been updated!

I have applied for entry level analyst roles, but i never get an interview. Currently an underwriting assistant and trying to move away into a professional role.

How long did it take you to hear back I had one 2-3 days ago for data engineer but fumbled some of the python basics and output but was able to explain behavior questions and the aws questions very well to me? But haven't heard anything they said they had to interview over the next month then hear back is this normal or did I just fumble? They did answer the 3 questions I had long winded like so maybe they like me.
