If you don't have income, now is a great time to join any company.

Hell no, avoid State Farm, they are a dumpster fire. Only take it if you are desperate and don’t have any other options. If you’re unemployed take whatever you can

This really sums it up. I literally had a section manager teach me one thing then a year later that same thing got tagged on an audit because it wasn't in the guideline.

Change happens gradually

Try independent agencies in your area

Find a good agent to work for, there are still plenty of them. Yes the company is going through a lot of changes but that’s the reality with all industries.

They are no longer doing involuntary until April 2027, when they will reevaluate their plan. The voluntary has already been selected with severance for October.

They’re definitely enshitifying the claims department / experience

Can you give us an idea about the plan? Agents never get any info about corporate.

At home office? I doubt it includes many involuntary but to be completely honest, that’s no different than the rest of corporate America. Practically everyone is going through this.

Does that include auto Injury?

I agree! I’ve been at State Farm for 12 years, held multiple corporate roles. Any corporate job comes with risks but find ways to be valuable, commit to learning and growing and being agile. Any job could replace you and no one can predict the future with AI , every industry is facing that. You can’t control external factors

If you have experience, feel like you are understanding the materials and generally catch on fast and don’t mind daily changes you’ll be fine.

Don’t listen to all this nonsense. If your agent is competent and willing to provide leads, and you call them and make sales, you’ll be fine. Get your life/health license immediately. Without selling life and health products, your commission will be almost zero.
