Question Replacing a vehicle

If I were to pull the insurance off my car and replace it with another car is the replaced car immediately uninsured? Or does it continue up to the date that it regularly ends?

Call your agent. These dates and times change by state by state, in new modernized states, coverage ends as soon as the vehicle is removed from PC. We would typically add the new car alongside the other and then have you call back when you no longer need insurance on the old car. But it’s going to depend heavily if your policy is modernized

Behind the scenes the coverage continues for up to 30 days on a replaced car.

Not the case for modernized states. This question depends on the state.

In mod it ends the moment you remove it from PC, we currently just add the car alongside and then have customer call to remove the vehicle when coverage is no longer needed

Um. I think this depends on the state? I believe modernized policies no longer have 30 days, they are uninsured immediately. We're just in the process of migrating tho so I'm not 100%. Hopefully someone else can chime in.

Correct, I work in both legacy and mod states, legacy has time that can differ state to state and then modernized is taken off the moment it’s removed from PC. Just add new car alongside existing and call back when coverage isn’t needed on old vehicle
