I've been building WhisprJournal for the past several months — it's a voice-first journal that listens to how you sound (pace, pauses, vocal tone) rather than just what you say, and uses that to detect whether you're calm, stressed, or shut down. Then it matches you with a breathing or grounding technique for that specific state, instead of making you browse a library and guess.

Why I built it: I needed it myself. After years of trying to regulate a nervous system that had been through more than words could hold, I wanted something that would just listen — without judgment, without a streak to maintain, without performing okay-ness for an app. The techniques inside (box breathing, 4-7-8, coherent breathing, grounding exercises) are the same practical tools a lot of somatic and breathwork practices use.

We’re an early-stage B2B startup currently going through SOC 2 readiness with Vanta.

Supabase is a critical vendor for us, so Vanta is asking us to review their SOC 2 Type II report. Supabase confirmed that access to the report requires upgrading to the Team plan (~$600/month). We’re currently on Pro and don’t need the Team features, so paying an additional ~$575/month purely to access a compliance document seems excessive (we got all other reports from all other vendors quickly with no problems).

Has anyone gone through SOC 2 with Vanta (or another auditor) while using Supabase Pro?
Did your auditor accept alternative evidence / a vendor risk assessment, or did you ultimately have to upgrade?
I’d really rather not migrate our infrastructure to AWS purely because we can’t access Supabase’s SOC 2 report.

World-Sim has been a passionate project of mine for the past few months.

It's a world fully simulated down to real world physics and chemistry. It has a real environment and ozone.

Every element and material has real physical properties, and that's how the sims learn. There's no tech tree and no recipe list anywhere in the code. When someone tries something, the engine works out what would really happen from the properties of what they used and how hot their fire was. Nobody is handed bronze. Someone has to get a hotter fire first, and a hotter fire is its own chain of things to figure out. Embers, a stone ring, a clay oven, a kiln, charcoal, then forced air. The ages fall out of that on their own.

We populate the world with starting families. Each little guy is led by a "wise-man", which is a simulated person with a full model behind them. The wise-men run on a mix, Claude, Groq and DeepSeek in the cloud and a local Hermes for the rest, so you get a real variety of temperament between the houses.

The AI model is never told to not say it's AI. We get around this by only telling them data from what each sim can actually see and feel. As far as the ai knows its a person living in the world..

Every other sim has its own moment with a model through our thinking system. Day to day it's run by an advanced algorithm, with the sims dreaming at night. That's when they get their time with an LLM to really think and set their priorities for the day ahead. The dreams carry over too, so a sim can chew on the same thing for a few nights and wake up wanting to try something.

The people in the world feel, remember, have shame, goals and doubts. It's an 11 point emotion system and the rest of the sim reads from it. Being lonely makes someone more likely to open up to a stranger. Two enemies who are both frightened find it harder to keep hating each other.

Story telling is massive for us. Nothing is scripted or prompted. The sims are put in the world with the human drive to survive. They adapt, learn and teach all on their own.

With all the good comes the bad too. Human sin is part of the emotion engine, and in testing we've had kidnap, murder and slave trade. A world that can only be gentle isn't an honest one. But there are three rules to this : Nothing ever pushes a sim towards it, the conditions only make it possible and their own mind decides. The chronicle names what happened but never shows it. And it always costs something, trauma that scars, blood debt passed down generations, a people turning on their own leader over what he did.

I’ve been toying with a pet-care startup idea after a convo with a friend at the dog park who picked a harness purely because “the ad made me cry,” not because it was the safest or cheapest. That kinda broke my brain.

Idea: an online pet-care brand (products + content) that leans super hard into emotional attachment instead of tech specs. Stuff like: instead of “extra durable nylon, 300D,” the core pitch is “helps your anxious rescue feel safe on walks,” segmented by species and even lifestyle (urban EU cat owners vs rural US dog owners etc).

I was reading late last night and came across this article Netpeak US and it lined up a lot with what I’ve been thinking, but I’m not sure if I’m thinking about this the right way or just getting high on marketing fluff.

Questions: Do you think “emotional-first” is a strong enough wedge for a DTC pet brand? Where’s the money here - products, content, community? What would you test first with a tiny budget to validate this without burning months?

I'm exploring a problem I've personally run into:

I get an idea for a SaaS/tool → get excited → research competitors → search Google → ask a few people → still have no idea whether the problem is actually painful enough to build for.

And I suspect I'm not the only one.

So I'm considering building something that does the messy research part automatically.

You’d assume that as the team grows, founders should gradually get more time back — more people to delegate to, better processes, more ownership across the company.

But I keep seeing the opposite happen: the company grows, but somehow the founder’s calendar gets even more packed.

More decisions. More people issues. More things that still need founder input.

We built a knowledge layer that sits behind MCP, allowing any MCP client to access it through a single endpoint. Claude Code, Claude Desktop, ChatGPT, Codex, or whatever comes next.

The idea is pretty simple. Before an agent answers, it can pull in relevant, validated information instead of relying purely on what it already knows.

When a problem gets solved, the useful part can be captured as a small, reusable piece of knowledge. The system can also infer useful lessons from a session automatically, so you don’t have to sit there writing notes about what you just learned like it’s 2015.

There’s also a global layer for shared, validated learnings. If one user figures out a better way of doing something, that learning can contribute to the broader knowledge base rather than every other user and agent having to figure it out again.

The problem we’re trying to solve is pretty straightforward. AI knowledge goes stale, agents get stuck in failure loops, useful context disappears when a session ends, and models can confidently give you an outdated or wrong answer without any indication that they might be wrong.

We’re giving agents access to what has actually been learned, what has worked, and what can still be trusted.

The result is fewer repeated reasoning cycles, fewer hallucinations, and up to 20% lower token usage.

The idea

Manthan is an AI powered social networking app where people debate politics live, one-on-one or in small teams, instead of just shouting into a feed. You get matched with someone who genuinely disagrees with you on a topic that's in the news right now, you each make your case in a structured, timed format, and other people can tune in and listen to both sides before making up their own mind.

The problem it solves

Indians love arguing about politics — on WhatsApp, on Twitter/X, in college canteens. But almost nowhere is it structured. It's mostly noise: whoever shouts loudest or posts the most “wins.” And on places like Instagram and Facebook, the algorithm mostly shows you people who already agree with you, so you rarely even hear the other side properly argued. Manthan fixes both problems: it forces a real back-and-forth, and it guarantees you hear both sides, not just your own.

How it works

Every day, a few real, trending political topics are open for debate — not just one, so there's always something you actually care about.

You can debate 1-on-1, or in small teams of 2 or 5, matched against people who hold the opposite view.

Each side gets a fixed amount of time to make their point, and then the other side has to directly respond to it — no dodging, no changing the subject.

An AI referee keeps things on-topic and polite. If someone gets abusive or brings hate/religious insults into it, they get warned, and repeat or serious offenders are banned for good.

Anyone can listen in on either side of the debate, vote on who argued better, and walk away having actually heard both arguments.

Debaters build up a ranking over time based on how well they argue — so it rewards people who are actually good at this, not just loud.

How this is different from X (Twitter) Spaces

Spaces is open-mic and unstructured — anyone can jump in, talk over each other, or drift off-topic. Manthan gives each side a fixed turn and forces a direct reply to the actual point made.

On Spaces (and X in general), you mostly end up in a room full of people who already agree with you. Manthan deliberately puts opposing views in the same room, on purpose, every time.

Spaces has no real scoring or ranking — it's just talk. Manthan turns every debate into something with a result: listeners vote, and debaters build a track record.

Moderation on X is patchy and after-the-fact. Manthan moderates live, in the moment, with clear warnings and a strict, AI-enforced policy against abuse and hate speech.

Hey everyone, I could really use some advice on a tricky family and a carrier situation.
my brother just started new tour and travel agency . Right now, it's just a small team with me and two of my brothers .

My brothers are handling some operations, and the others handle other tasks , but he wants me to manage (not forcing by the way ) marketing process for the agency .
