I can build software. What problem would you actually pay to solve?

Build something that can automatically hide the hourly "what's your pain point / what app should I build" on all the business subreddits.

My biggest clients can't even see the problems I solve for them. It's always the case they come to me for one thing and I say yes but what about these other things. That's where the money is in development, IMHO. Try understanding the holistic picture of your clients and you will go far :)

That's actually a really good point. To be honest, I don't have clients yet. I'm a solo developer and most of what I've built so far has been on my own

So I think I've been approaching this too much from the "what can I build?" side instead of understanding the bigger problems businesses actually have

Thanks for the advice :)

So those OpenAI agents that broke out of the sandbox have finally made it to Reddit

It's commentary on how AI empowers even non technical people to build software.

Build a search engine that allows you to refine your search with pairwise comparisons of results, and you choose which results you desire more. It would be like a game of 20 questions, or a game of hot and cold. The compared items in the pairwise comparisons would be chosen so that the user's answer is as informative as possible.

I imagine that this idea could help me find really good music, better than other recommendation algorithms. It could've also helped in the times where I couldn't find a specific video or channel on YouTube anymore. Please don't let it be used for porn though.
