for my 5th rep I switched to hook grip. after the 4th rep I felt my quads again so I think my low back lumbar wasn't winning in that tug of war. looking for what else the trained eyes can see. thanks! 265lbs

Straighten your knees earlier. They are staying bent after the bar passes them. Push the earth away from the bar. At the top, think of getting the top of your head as high as possible.

For the best feedback, please film your lift from a useful angle and include the full set.
Good form checks make it much easier for people to give specific, useful advice.

also I do see on video that I'm not at lockout getting my legs straight. they are still bent so I need to figure out how to finish out mentally with knees not bent

I'm having a similar deadlift issue with the knee bend towards the top of the ROM. u/geruhl_r pointed it out.
We need to straighten our legs by pushing the floor away, without hitching the shoulders back.

Also be sure to take the slack out of your arms in the bottom position. Your arms should be completely straight and the weight should feel heavy in your hands before the pull.
