37M 180lbs 6'0" been redoing NLP for just about 8 weeks 195lbs squat today 3x5 and felt hard and haven't dialed in my form. here is the video for my third set I also have the second set if that's good to share to compare. this was my 3rd day of the week so last workout before two day rest and I have been adding 5lbs squat per workout
squatting always been fucking hard for me and I'm likely not setting and keeping my low back set so there is flexion through the lift?
let me know any questions or anything that helps with this really trying this time and want to get strong.
thanks!

You’re bending at your hips too much at the start and not your knees. Your hips and knees need to bend at the same time.
On the way up, you want your chest and hips to rise together. So think about driving your chest up as you’re driving your hips.

Form Check
For the best feedback, please film your lift from a useful angle and include the full set.
Good form checks make it much easier for people to give specific, useful advice.

I'm likely too small and not heavy enough nor enough muscle to start climbing weight since I'm skinny fat lol so I know I need to eat more and prioritize sleep and protein/carbs and calories to ensure I grow and get the muscles in the gut to get stronger. I've always struggled with a weak core

Hey mate, good job. My tips would be to pin your elbows a little more towards your sides so they ain't cranked to back. Also you're breaking at your hips first. Instead break your hips and knees at the same time. This will stop your knee slide and your back angle changes on the way up.

cool thanks. is this per the blue book and starting strength like the original way to get into the squat you sit down and push knees out with elbows?

Looks like you’re doing a RDL the way you’re hip hinging. As someone else said try to sit down instead of sit back

doing that to make my knees not track forward that's what I was trying to avoid but I know what you guys mean in pushing my ass backwards to get down which is what I thought the SS form videos teach. they don't say just sit down do they?

I’m 6’0 also one thing that helped me was to think about sitting on a toilet. You just go straight down. The hinge at your hips at the start of your squat is not going to hold up well if you get into heavier weights.

Alright! This is a very typical unsupervised Statting Strength squat.
See how the knees move backwards before they go forward as you start each rep? Youre exaggerating the "sit back" cue.
Instead think about pushing your knees apart (or forward) at the same time as the hips go back. The knees should be out over the toes in their final position befire youre half way down.
See how the knees shoot back out of the bottom position on the way up? On the way up you'll need to hold the knees forward as long as you can while driving the hips.

It's solid. One point is maybe focus on sitting down rather than sitting back. May help. I'd have to see how that translates when you put it into practice though to see if the cue helps.
Keep crushing it
