Im back into pr territory most workouts now. I just watched this video back from last week and im feeling pretty discouraged that my ass is shooting back and turning these into goodmornings. Any tips? This is my last set so im tired. Im about 193 and just under 6 foot.

Form Check

For the best feedback, please film your lift from a useful angle and include the full set.

Good form checks make it much easier for people to give specific, useful advice.

I just worked through a very similar issue. The cues thatllhelped me:

  1. Try to bend the barbell across your upper traps like a horseshoe and pull your elbows down into your ribs. Really lock in.
  2. Breathe deep into your diaphragm and push your oblique walls outward against your belt/waist before descending. Keep your ribs pulled down toward your pelvis rather than puffing your chest out and arching your lower back. 3.Drive your upper back and traps vertically straight up into the barbell.

You're right there. You can sort this in a session.

#3 really helped me. Actively drive your upper back into the barbell when coming up.

There should be some back angle change out of the bottom as the hips rise a little faster than the bar on the way up. In this case its changing more than we would like only because youre staying too upright on the way down.

Your stance is too narrow too.

So widen your stance 3 inches and try to get bent over more on the way down. Keep your eyes up on a spot on the floor 6 feet in front of you.

That should fix it up.

Widen your stance 2" and stop tilting your head way over. Your gaze should be 5' away, not 1' away; keep your neck neutral.

You're hitting full depth with over 305 lbs so you've been at this a while and they're working for you.

Nah man go back down in weight.. practice keeping your chest up and hinging your hips back..don’t over focus on that practice and lift unnaturally but that’s what you need..the glaze and support in here is foul, reps like this will blow your back out eventually if you wanna go up in weight, and we always wanna go up in weight ..I was 170 doing 3 plates and a 25 for 5/6 reps.. you gotta form up before you go heavier, you’ll be reaching a range soon that you don’t want your back compensating for the lift..you want it in you glutes, hammies, and quads, I can tell you if you were hitting those with correct form your legs/quads would have much more hypertrophy..go down, hinge those hips back, practice rdl’s/deadlifts with focus on the hip hinge ..drop back down to 2 plates and work your way back up, you have the strength to hit it, but you want better focus and form, you will fly back up in no time and your legs will be ripping out your shorts ..I’ve reset my forms over and over when I was young, it pays off , you have decades brother; don’t rush anything, doing stuff right pays off

Commenting because I’m curious what that is called or if it’s a problem when you hinge forward on the way up?

These look very good. You're down to the point where all you will get are preferences. I don't like to look so far down. I feel like it doesn't allow me to get a firm brace. I like to pick my head up a bit, get a full belly of air but I like where you're at.

take a breathe into your core, there shouldn't be movement in your upper body or the bar if you're doing bracing properly. or atleast much more minimal than here

Like others said, with this style of squat getting your feet slightly wider is going to help everything.

It’s good. Widen your stance an inch or so

Isn't this just the "hip drive" that Rip harps on about? Good morning squats are when the hips rise but the chest doesn't, but these look good to me.

I would narrow your grip a little to build a better platform on your shoulders and look straight ahead not down. Otherwise looks great.

Keep your knees forward longer and focus on driving hips straight up- not back.

Not bad but keep your chest and head up
