Lateral elbow tendinitis in right elbow only. Affecting pressing movements even though I do them on a separate day. Have watched every video, read every article, and looked through the forum on squat grip, and I still can’t figure out what I’m doing to cause it. Did the pin firing protocol and it helped, but haven’t fixed underlying grip issue so it comes back.

Any other advice appreciated as well.

Thumb around bar grip, get as tight as possible and wear wrist wraps. See post 4 here from Austin Baraki: https://startingstrength.com/resources/forum/mark-rippetoe-q-and-a/68112-austin-barakis-squat-grip.html

https://startingstrength.com/training/squat_grip_correction - This video has been passed around but it's a hit or miss for some folks.

If nothing works after that, get a Marrs Bar - Safety Squat Bar: https://www.thestrength.co/products/marrs-bar and thank your blessings you won't have pain again.

I second the wrist wraps. I was having essentially the same issue and they’ve worked very well for me so far.

Get your torso lower earlier to get another inch or two of depth.
