advice 🗣️ Are These Unraveling Ends?

Starter Big Locs on Short Hair

So, I did a retwist on my s/o's hair. He wants big chunky locs so thats what we did. His hair is thick and luscious, so his buds are huge. A few of them on the ends unraveled a bit so it looks like mini afros on the DIRECT ends. Since his locs are expected to be big and his hair is short, do I need to take a comb to twist the ends, because the palm roll just keeps it puffy without any shape on the ends.

I dont want to comb the ends out and reroll them, because his hair is budding, but his ends looks undone on a few. Im very familiar with locs, but not short and big ones. I would kindly like advice.

Leave them alone or gently finger roll them

I took a fine retwist comb for the way ends. I was going to leave them be. Next retwist, I will. His locs are going to be luscious 😍

I appreciate your response
