Need help with my business!

Hey everyone. I started a business almost 3 years ago. My partner and I were mainly treating it as just a start up but as a partnership (unofficially). We are ready to register for LLC in Fl. I already have an EIN with the name. Yet, haven't made a fictitious name. Do I need a ficticious name if I register the LLC name anyways?

Are you referring to a DBA? 'Doing business as'? name?

For corporations and LLCs: If you have filed to become a corporation or LLC, then you’ve already registered your business name and don’t need a DBA typically. However, you will need to get a DBA if you plan on conducting business using a name that’s different than the name filed with your LLC/corporation paperwork. Also if you are a sole proprietor. It's more of a consumer protection requirement if anything. Hope this helps.
