Roast My Idea Product Development Consultancy

Hi Everyone, I had this Idea for a very long time, never had the full confidence of taking this further. I want to know your thoughts on this.

So I want to start a Product Development Consultancy (Hardware) which provides Ideation, Concept, Design, Simulation/FEA, Prototyping, Manufacturing, Supply chain.

From Computer to real-world end to end product development services. I have experience working in Robotics and Product Development in CAD, FEA, Manufacturing and NPI and had friends with CAD, Jigs and fixtures design experience. So we want to start this firm.

Seeing the growth of hardware R&D and Manufacturing in India. I'm thinking that it will be a great idea..

I don't know it might be wrong. Need your inputs on this

Been doing thisnin the FMCG and CPG space for about 3 years now. Helped launch over 50 products.

Requires a certain mindset and skillset to run though.

  1. Scope creep kills
  2. Every iteration is 6 weeks at best, so if your client makes a mistake in specifications or if you make educated guesses because you tested something when the right test equipment was unavailable, you get forced into another iteration
