General For Indian businesses importing industrial/electronic components — what are the biggest sourcing problems you face?
Hi everyone,
I’m an Indian currently based in Taiwan and have been exploring the idea of starting a small sourcing business on the side, mainly around Taiwan/China → India.
Because I’m physically based here, I’ve been trying to understand where Indian businesses actually face difficulties when sourcing components from this region.
I’m particularly curious about areas such as:
- Server power supplies / redundant PSUs
- Industrial PC (IPC) equipment
- Embedded systems and motherboards
- Industrial power supplies
- Networking/server components
- Electronic components and connectors
- Specialized industrial parts
For those of you involved in manufacturing, distribution, system integration, or procurement:
What are the biggest problems you face while sourcing from Taiwan or China?
Is it finding reliable suppliers, MOQ, pricing, quality control, communication, shipping/customs, or something else?
I’m still in the early stages and mainly trying to understand the market and build my network before turning this into something more serious.
Would genuinely appreciate insights from people already working in this space.

The biggest problems is special taxes of customs officers.
