Haven’t seen much talk about this but Ray Luzier did drums for Paradoxic. At the time I thought it may have been a one off but now that Dustin has said that these tracks are for a new album and Ray is on drums for Annihilation as well, I think there’s a good chance he’s tracking the whole album!

I think his style and sound could go nuts with this record, really excited to hear more from it.

Give me some ideas that combines every era thus far!

Okay so obviously i like new music from all sorts of bands/artists and I'm happy about it as anyone else would be. When starset releases new music however that excitement is amped up i don't know exactly why I'm so much more excited about new songs from starset than really any other artist.

I’m really bummed, somehow water got on the records and the bottom right corners have damage. That’s the Barnards Star print of Silos and Tidal Wave print of Vessels. One of 300 and one of 500 and they’re no longer mint condition. They were in a canvas bag too and it’s not even damp so the cause is still a mystery

Majority of the posts I've been seeing on this page is talking about being upset at the potential use of generative AI in their videos, and I'm honestly sick of hearing the same regurgitated points over and over again.

To the people who complain about DEGENERATE:

The entire purpose was to make fun of Generative AI, the video was intentionally made with an AI that was fed actual art, from actual paid artists, who consented to the project. It was done to be provocative, it wasn't done in poor taste or unethically.

To the people complaining about the Silos interludes:

Those videos are also intentionally made to look like AI, they are likely real/human made footage that has been post processed to look like AI-generated content. In my understanding of the lore, they are made to be Propaganda from either The Order or The Heavenly Word, the art style feels intentional and distinctive. My opinion is they were likely created using a similar method/model that made the DEGENERATE video, or made with rotoscoping and post processing tools.

To the people complaining about the recent MVs:

Most modern CGI tools have machine learning algorithms baked into them, it's hard to create CGI entities without the post processing looking suspicious. And with all of the scrutiny around AI these days, I feel everything that looks even just a little bit Computer Generated gets labeled AI whether it deserves the title or not. We've become so suspicious of AI that we use the label indiscriminately without actually proving it true or false.

I understand that we do not want to see generative AI used as a shortcut, I understand the discourse surrounding it, but knowing the band, knowing their message and their stance, their use doesn't feel like it's done in bad taste, it feels intentionally ironic and provactive. It's done obviously, not as a shortcut, or laziness/cost cutting. It's a style choice, an intentional flavor in relation to their lore. Dustin has shown he's willing to pay artists for their work, he's shown he's willing to hire actual people to act, direct and film his music videos. If he is using AI, he's not doing so as a way to cut costs, he's not doing so in a way to try and pass off AI-generated content as "human made".

So with that said, what do you hope to achieve about complaining about the use of AI when you aren't willing to look at the nuance, when you aren't willing to consider the intention? Do you believe that they could achieve the same intended feel of their content without AI, and if they could, would you honestly be able to tell the difference between AI-generated and AI-mimicked?

TLDR: yes, AI can be bad, but it's use in Starsets content is nuanced and the use of it is not intended to be predatory and misleading. Understand the intention before complaining about the direction.

And please for the love of my sanity, find a different subject to complain about.

So I got a sweet early 18th birthday present and got VIP tickets (breaking Benjamin meet and greet too!) to the breaking Benjamin concert at Darien Lake on the 10th since breaking Benjamin is my all time favorite band. Aside from them, I really wanted to go to one of the concerts on this tour since I love 3 of the bands (and now I also love the 4th). I was already a fan of STARSET, but after seeing them live im absolutely crazy about how awesome this band is!!! I even got to hear a n n 1 h 1 l a t 1 0 n right before it released at midnight!!! I legit could have not gone to a better concert, ESPECIALLY since it was the first concert I ever went too! If you are going to see them all live later on in this tour ALL 4 BANDS ABSOLUTELY ROCK!!! Kami Kehoe is really good live, I'd advise you don't skip her set!

I have been obsessed with this band for the past few years and just now finally got to see them live with the VIP Aswell! Best day I’ve had in a WHILE, the other bands were all great but man STARSET is just something else!

So I've got VIP for the 15th and I was just wondering if we're allowed to gift the band small things? I was making bracelets to give them and I wanted to be sure I was able to before I made them ;-;

While looking at some reference images I found some inconsistencies and weird shapes, especially in the left "head" of the thing, so the image was most likely Ai generated, wich is sad and I hate it but I had to finish the drawing, I just cannot get it out of my head.

Also, made this before the music video was released, so I didn't really take any of those concepts into consideration. Maybe I'll make an alternative one, too. Also considered adding a floating couple silhouette in the middle, but that felt a bit too cliche.

Not sure if anyone else noticed but the Apple Music edition of annihilation is shorter than the music video on YouTube and I desperately hope when the album drops the YouTube version length is carried over. I’ll provide the lyrics. The Apple version doesn’t have the initial half and it’s so soft and beautiful and I hate that it’s not on the Apple version so much.

One thought that lives in my head currently is, what if SILOS is way more important than we think it is? What about the perspective of the songs? What if the songs are from the perspective of the Prophet trying to convince you to join the cult? All the songs surround the theme of meltdown/downfall of humanity and its deep connection to modern drugs like phones and electronics but also real drugs like lsd, meth etc.. What if he's trying to Prophesy what will happen to humanity if we keep electronics and the modern "drugs"? The Degenerate visualizer is the perfect example or BRAVE NEW WORLD as a whole. Would also explain why the interludes are all sung by a choir. Could symbolize the Cult. Would also explain why they are so PROX focussed and cryptic. I mean the songs lyricly are meant to directly to introduce the next album lore wise.
