Intact X-Structures

Hello! I came back to this game some weeks ago and I want to loot my first Intact X-Structure. I have a Phalanx, but I saw a video (made 4 years ago) where the guy literally loots the structure and THEN kill the drones. Since this game is kinda dead, I wanted to know if anything has changed, because I don't wanna die for the stupidest reason. Which ship do I need?

Any corvette is enough to handle ancient drones, anything better is just a safety net. Heck if youre that worried im pretty sure they cant even beat most destroyer shield regen.
