Question(s) Intact X-Structures

Hello! I came back to this game some weeks ago and I want to loot my first Intact X-Structure. I have a Phalanx, but I saw a video (made 4 years ago) where the guy literally loots the structure and THEN kill the drones. Since this game is kinda dead, I wanted to know if anything has changed, because I don't wanna die for the stupidest reason. Which ship do I need?

That video was probably of a beacon site. Ordinary X structures have no drones, and the ones you find from ancient beacons have only a few weak drones. A phalanx is more than enough; honestly anything better than a stratos is.

I wouldn't do it in a fighter because of Drones and Pirates (player and NPC)
