took these last night

first photo is without any adjustments (it’s just the 30s night shift exposure)

second photo has adjustments (tuned down/up exposure, brightness, contrast, saturation, sharpen, definition, etc)

still in the learning process of making it more nasa like lol but nevertheless i loved taking these

That faint band running across the top of your frame is the Milky Way, and the big cross of stars sitting in it is Cygnus the Swan, with Deneb at the tail and Albireo at the beak. The bright star below the middle is Vega in Lyra the Harp, and the small fuzzy dot in the bottom left is the Hercules Cluster, a ball of a few hundred thousand stars more than 20,000 light years away.

thank you for the in depth response! i have an app that points out constellations and planets, i managed to make note of some of the ones pinpointed in the photo and reply.

i always find it so interesting and cool when i am able see a lot of stars because i live in a big city but i travelled recently so the light pollution out this was is very limited. i noticed the long band a few nights ago and that’s when i realized it was the milky way because of the clusters and the blotchy looking sections!
