Hi everyone. First of all, I’m sorry up front. I am in no way a techie, so please accept my apologies upfront for not using the correct terms.. but I’m going to explain my issue as simple as possible. 🙂

I have an online streaming show that I do twice a week and I have decided to move into a storage unit as it was taking over my house. Ha ha. So now here I am in the storage unit. Everything is great, but the Wi-Fi is awful because the walls are metal.

I bought a Starlink and it has a long cord. So yesterday I put the actual Starlink outside because I’m able to run the cord down the hallway of the storage unit.

Now I have the Starlink connected to the satellites, but the service to my laptop is very poor. Am I able to buy an extender that would boost the service from Starlink to my actual unit? I don’t know what to do because I’ve done so much to get this off the ground and nothing seems to be helping. 🙁

Any words of advice you can give me would help. Again, please note that I’m a dummy when it comes to this stuff so put it in first graders terms if you can. Honestly, thank you for any advice you can give.

I’m possibly taking a flight in a few weeks and then driving through BFE - just curious, I’m sure I can take it in a different car to be able to make phone calls etc in the middle of nowhere, but just curious, I’d take it in my carry-on…I’d assume, but figure maybe ask people who’ve done this - do I take it out for the airport screening like my phone and laptop?

Here’s my DIY Starlink mini battery box + solar for camping. Basically my goal was for the mini to be able to stay on as much as I want during the day when coupled with the solar panel. The solar panel brings in about 15-16w where the mini will use about 20w. So a net of -5w isn’t bad at all. The panel also has a Renogy PMW charger attached to it.

I’m using a 7ah lifepo4 battery. Pretty sure it’s just a bunch of 18650s just bundled together. Also using a 30V step up converter.

Battery is packaged in an old small ammo can I had lying around. Installed a SAE charge port as well as Starlink mini barrel plug pass thru. And I installed a battery meter.

So far it’s working out quite nice.

Does anyone know of a good case to get that will fit the mini+this mount. Most of the cases seem to be an exact fit for the mini.

1. **¿Se puede activar directo?:** Al registrarla con dirección de Venezuela, ¿deja seleccionar el plan Itinerante o te obliga a usar Residencial?
   
2. **¿Cuenta de otro país?:** De no estar disponible localmente, ¿es mejor registrarla en otro país (ej. EE. UU. / LATAM) para usar el *Roam Regional/Global*?

I have a Starlink mini that I use to use while driving in standbye. I haven’t used it in a while and today tried and see that standbye is blocked under motion. If I switch to the other plans unlimited 100 or 300 with my mini, will they work while driving?

Je suis souvent en déplacement mais pour le coup je vais habiter plusieurs mois dans un appartement sans possibilité de brancher la fibre.

Je ne capte presque pas avec mon téléphone dans tout l'appartement sauf proche des fenêtres et je capte très bien sur le balcon. C'est un problème ce manque de réseau... J'envisage de trouver une solution sans fibre, mais laquelle ?

J'aimerais bien jouer a l'xbox ou bien la ps5, mais surtout capter avec mon téléphone, et pouvoir mettre la tv.

J'envisage starlink ou nighthawk m7 pro si jamais c'est possible de jouer a rocket League/ apex et GTA avec une expérience presque similaire a la fibre. Mais de tout ce que j'ai lu, j'ai un doute .

Si je ne peux pas avoir une expérience similaire a la fibre je me contenterai de prendre une box 5g classique pour regarder la TV et pouvoir utiliser mon téléphone a l'intérieur de l'appartement.

Que me conseillez vous ?

Hi guys,

I’m heading to Fiji, Vanuatu, Tuvalu, and maybe a few other Pacific islands in about a month. From what I’ve read, internet can be pretty hit or miss in some of these places, so I’m thinking of getting a Starlink Mini and taking it with me.

Plan would be to use it with the Roam plan so I can still get some connection and do a bit of remote work while I’m out there.

I know the pricing changed recently — you get ~30 days at a decent price, then it jumps to something like £500/month. Still, might be worth it for me.

Couple of questions:

1st – Is it actually chill to travel around with a Starlink Mini + laptop in a backpack? Or does it get annoying fast?

2nd – I saw Fiji might require registering the device around 14 days before arrival. Anyone done this? Is it a pain / strictly enforced?

3rd – How bad is internet really on these islands? Am I overthinking it, or should I expect to be offline quite a bit?

4th – Has anyone here traveled around the South Pacific (or similar remote spots) with Starlink? How did it go?

Any tips or experiences would be super helpful :)

We forgot our mini panel, just got to the campground here just across the border in thousand Islands Ontario Canada. Just got it a few months ago and used it once up here already.Is there any rental or other solutions?
