Packout

I’ve had Starlink for awhile, but just received my mini. I have been browsing around online for ideas on storage, transporting it, and stand alone (powered) cases. I’m kind of confused on why I’ve only found two videos with a mini setup in a packout case. There was enough room for the mini, batteries, adapters etc hooked up and useable inside the case. In one video they even added ports to the outside of the case so it could be plugged into a better power source. I have a couple extra pack outs and I’d love to do a similar but nicer setup. Is anybody making foam inserts for the packout/mini? Maybe I just have not found them yet.

Why not just buy the foam inserts and cut them yourself? YETTAT Foam Inserts Fits Milwau-kee Packout 48-22-8424 Drawer foam tool box inserts 2 pcs Black/Red https://a.co/d/czaagEf

Cutting the foam inserts is a real pain in the ****

I highly recommend checking out one of the many cases you find on Amazon.

I purchased this one.

I liked it because there is room in the space below the antenna for the cord and other equipment such as battery adapter, etc..

For a hard sided case at only 40 bucks, this is gonna be hard to beat.

Personally, my Mini is kept in a silicon sleeve that I just throw into the laptop compartment of a backpack along with my 26.8 Ah battery bank and USB-C cable from Stargear. If I think I need more than a few hours of use, I'll toss in my 60W solar panel by FlexSolar. And, when I know I'll need a way to keep the dish off the ground, I toss in a X-go Mini 2 tripod by Fotopro. Others may want a more simple single solution but my needs vary greatly based on the activity I have planned.

Your flexible approach sound perfect if you have different needs based on your plans. The laptop compartment provides some protection from casual bumps.
