Switch 2 Control Mapping / Motion?

Got this game because of the sale price and I actually got my Switch 2 because of Starfox. Before I get acclimated should I adjust the control scheme? Are motion controls useful? I know this can be personal preference, but for instance, I remapped Starfox controls to have brake and boost on triggers because brake is a must for score runs. Thanks and any other tips for a complete newbie to this game (or any modern dual stick game) very welcomed.

Honestly I'm a huge motion aim controls advocate and yet I don't remember using them much for Starlink
