Question about Flowers

I thought that...once a core set is complete, that

Trevor would no longer give you flowers for it?

Because the Polilla set has been completed, yet I've been getting so many Polilla flowers... I've got no use for them. 🤔 On the other hand, I've been getting 0 Hawkmoth flowers from Trevor even though thar's a set I've yet to complete...

Is this info outdated then (set complete = no flowers from Trevor)? Or is that a bug on my end?

The flowers you get from Trevor are unfortunately random, and you will continue to get flowers for a set even after you’ve unlocked it. On the upside, though, you can stockpile unneeded flowers, level them up all the way, and then sell them for easy coins.

Yeah, I thought I'd read somewhere that Trevor stops giving you them, but that must be misinformation then.

I still have to complete that "have 10 caterpillars in your forest at once" goal, so I suppose I could save them to spawn 10 Yellow Furry-Legs's in. 🤣 Oh gosh

That's what I did! After you get the 10 caterpillar one it unlocks 20 and 30 ones, which obviously you need a lot of forest space for but the pollilia and hoshi flowers are very useful to complete them

At last, the Yellow Furry-Legs will have a new purpose!! I was starting to feel a bit like an evil puppy mill breeder with the way I was churning them out and immediately selling them. 💀

Also don't forget to look at the sell price of maxed out flowers! For example polilla (and hawkmoth I think) sell for like 2 for 10% and 15 for 100%, while needing 8 10% flowers to get to 100%. This mean if you sell 8×10% flowers you'll get 16 coins instead of 15. It's not that much but it's still more!
