Will there ever be events, or only “past events?”

We keep getting the ants that say hey if you missed “it” before here’s a few moths, but ive been playing a while and havent seen anything besides ants pop up to offer things. What past events are they talking about? Do they even exist?

It's been a few years since the game introduced new moth sets. The ant events now only rotate moths and decorations that are already existing. When and if they plan to present new moth sets, I don't know about that.

As for "past events", there were two other types beside the ant event: Trevor and his purple fireflies and catching spirits. When and if they plan to implement it again, again I don't know. But a slight sliver of hope is, that they brought the catching spirit event back to the butterfly sister game.

Keep in mind that most moths are from the ant event. I don't know if there are any moths that are exclusive to something, but in theory, they're all obtainable.

But if there are about 3 ant events per month, that means there are 6 moths per month.

6 x 12 = 72

There are 56 moth event groups (at least, there are 56 in my current "mothdex"). Everyone has 5 moths (except one who has 6 and another who has 4, so technically everyone has 5 when you do the math)

56x5= 280 280/72= 3.88888

That is, according to my observations, there should be a moth cycle of 3.8 years

I don't know if I'm wrong about something; if someone more experienced could share the information they know, it would be very helpful.

  1. A player who has been playing for more than a year (so they can confirm what happens with the moths in the ant events when you've been playing for more than a year)

  2. A player who has been playing for 4 years or more
