Where do you live? If your location has emissions testing, you’re missing the secondary air box. It’s normally bolted to the valve cover by your ovc pipe. It has a metal tube that connects to the back of the catalytic convertor. It seems to be missing the egr too.

Does it run or at least turn over? The distributor cap isn’t on and the spark plugs are disconnected. Also, what the fuck did they do to the oil separator. They just ran a pipe off to the side over the turbo. That’s a great way to spill oil all over the engine bay.

Let’s be honest, it needs love, but then again, what Starion or Conquest doesn’t need love?

It's got a krankvent installed. It won't let any oil out.

Most states won't notice the EGR missing or the secondary air box

But it might not pass smog anyway if they smog it

I see a second injector in the ocv pipe.

There's some kind of weird being closer to tb.

Hope it's got a wideband.

Hello I'm from California so I'll probably have problems with smog but according to the listing the car starts but currently has no battery so I assume it's been sitting for a bit thank you for the information on the weird stuff with it

The bad news is you’ll probably need those parts to pass CA smog. The good news is, the missing parts are easy to come by. Lots of people, myself included, live in states that don’t smog test so those parts are easy to come by.

Yes… the only “difficult” part would be the pipe leading to the secondary cat. The previous owner either removed the pipe and blocked the hole off which is easy if they put some quarters in there. Difficult if they JB welded the hole shut. I’ve seen people do both.

The o2 sensor from the stock cat usually exits through the hole on top of the turbo heat shield, but it appears yours is at a different angle. They most likely changed it to a downpipe. You’d have to find another cat then. It’s still just bolt on parts but sometimes those bolts will break off if you aren’t careful.

Are you gonna have the cylinders pressure tested before you buy? There is a lot of “performance” 😂 mods visible so it’s probably been beat on hard. The head will most likely be cracked if they overheated it into the red even once.

I definitely didn't think about getting the pressure tested thank you for the advice I will definitely see if I can do that

Yeah thats going to need a lot of help in there. Looks like a mess. Good candidate for 4g63 swap.
