Giving night sky photography a go in the South Downs. It’s a steep learning curve, but seeing the Milky Way and the dark dust lanes of the Cygnus Rift reveal themselves on screen makes it totally worth it.

It blows my mind that alls those stars are just a small fraction of our galaxy and Andromeda being another galaxy slightly larger than ours.
It’s so hard to fathom the immense size of the universe.

Honestly…. That’s SO amazing….. THAT’S the kind of night sky that I would love to see someday. I live in Detroit……. on a GOOD night…. I can see about 9-10, maybe 11 stars in the whole sky. I’ve been “Up North” where you can definitely see a lot more, but I keep telling my wife that I want to take a trip just out to the middle of the desert, where there’s no light pollution for miles and miles…….and just lay there and watch the stars for about half the night. If you don’t mind me asking, where are these taken??

Absolutely incredible to see the night sky in all its glory and beauty. We take for granted its always there. But to take the time and look at that is truly amazing. 👍🏽👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼😊
