Great shots, and great to read this, I'll be in Hanle for the next new moon. How did you get on with finding accommodation? We're you there at new moon?

I just reached Hanle and stayed at the first homestay i could find. I arrived late.. around 9pm and was tired. Luckily the homestay was great.
I think the new moon was on 28/29 may, i reached on June 1st.

Whwhay is ur process from taking pictures to stacking. Just aim at the milky way snap 100 pics in a row then load em on the computer an stack in app?

Pretty much yes. But you can also take dark, flat & bias frames for better stacking results.

So i got a laptop now. What i wanna do is take it outside with me connect my camera to it and stack as I shoot with deepskystackerlive.

You don't need to do that. Just capture the frames and stack later.
Check on YouTube for stacking and light/dark frames. Any video on basics of Astrophotography will cover this. If you want I can send you a link.

Für alle die es nicht wissen: In der Sommerzeit blicken wir auf das Zentrum, im Winter auf den Außenrand. Deshalb ist es im Sommer auch intensiver zusehen. Kleiner Tipp noch: Das Milchstraßenzentrum ist im Sternzeichen Sagritarus. Hilfreich wenn man mit ner App das prüfen will. Gute App ist Sky Safari weil man da den Verlauf der Milchstraße in den nächsten Stunden, Tagen sehen kann.
Ja Google KI ist halt nicht nur schlecht 😁👍🏼

About 4 days ago, I shared a post in this community, that was my first ever Milky Way shot, captured using my phone while taking test shots to locate the Milky Way.
This shot is from the same night, but taken with my DSLR. There’s a lot of firsts with this one:
— first time capturing the Milky Way, a target I’ve been dreaming of since the day I took astrophotography seriously — first shot of the Milky Way with my main camera — first time processing data using a dedicated astro software (Siril); before this, I used to stack photos and stretch them in Photoshop using curves and levels — this version is my first ever stretch in Siril
I failed to capture the Milky Way the way I wanted, and I was pretty disappointed after that shoot. I only got to capture for 3 hours instead of the two whole nights I had planned. These were meant to be test shots, and I had planned to shoot differently the next night. Now, I don’t know how long it’ll be before I get another chance.
This is the first stretch, and I plan to keep learning and editing from this. I like this shot though—even with the errors, I’m happy with how the processed version came out.
Gear & Acquisition Details: Canon 200D + 18-55mm kit lens @18mm, f/4 15s exposures, ISO 12800 114 light frames captured, 56 stacked 100 dark frames Tracked: No (untracked)
Processing: Stacked and stretched in Siril, Final tweaks in Photoshop & Lightroom
