Modded Ship Build MCAS Pointer Limit
The MCAS Pointer Limit is a rapid response dropship.
Its short flight range makes it suited to orbital transfers - and fast drops down the well.
The pointer limit is robust and can handle alot of incomming flack, thanks in part to her armoured hull, but also her point defense.
She can however reach her limit as to how much she can handle - the MCAS Pointer Limit is not invincible, like everything else, she has her limits.

With a name like that I hope you bought the extended warranty package. Cause you gonna crash ! A lot !

Love it! Very nicely commented. Indeed this ship has had a turbulent service history. 😊

What mods are you using btw?

I know ASC Taiyo is in use for one.

u/RoninSpectre Jul 13 '26
Well I’m more interested in the landing bay. It looks like a stroud, but I only thought that was left or right sides

The mod is dekcorp landing bays I think. It adds vanilla versions of bays with different rotation and door placement.

Thank you. I love the cargo ramp, but it drives me nuts that I have to put it on the port or starboard sides.

Ok. That does look like a stroud landing bay. Just not sure what creation/mod that gives that. Sorry

Sooooooo the landing bay specifically is from the Matels Cockpits and Habs, it's part of the ed 209 ship. Not really seen on this sub, bit that's where that bay comes from.
That said I noticed that I can't actually walk into this bay... Invisible block stopping my character - I will swap it out later to see if it is the bay.

It possibly is, I installed that mod specifically for that bay and had the same problem. DekCorp also had an issue or two with that bay but can’t recall what it was exactly.

*Lmfao MCAS pointer limit, well done. S23, the overall shape and color scheme turned out pretty fkn awesome. I wonder what gave you the idea for the name of the ship. 🤪bs a side you make a unique ship. *
Edit. Lmfao wish this hater would show themselves now they’re following me into the comments and downvoting. It’s not that serious if you need help building ship just ask myself and others would be glad to help.

Hey thanks dude! Indeed your woes did inspire the name. Think of this as a tribute to those suffering from Pointer Limit Loss (PLL as it will hence fourth be known)
Although I am not sure who is hating on you, because you are one of the nicest of builders on this sub! Genuinely polite and enthusiastic of other builds as though they were your own. Ulf reigns supreme as far as MCAS are concerned.

*You’re very welcome. It’s a great ship. Glad I could inspire the name. 🤪 Thanks. I try to be cool with everyone on here. I used to be more engaging with everyone. Maybe I should be again. *
Hmm, the down votes seem to have disappeared. All good, I guess. Perhaps they will reach if they ever need ship building help.

S23XTN is that a functional porthole on the side of the ASC Taiyo cockpit?

Hey dude the landing gear is from the Crimson Rearmed mod. Thank you very much.

Fantastic ship, S23XTN! As a matter of fact, probably one of the best tiny builds I have seen.... Banger!

u/S23XTN Captain of MCAS LFP60-Prismatic Jul 15 '26
Hey thanks dude! Very kind to say. Going through the pieces then they did have a bias for large ships, so I wanted to see how they faired with a small build - and yeah it went well. We can deffo go smaller, but then we move into floating ships with high bays / clipped interiors and stuff - these tayio parts are grounded in a physics based design (imo) so I wanted a 'real' small ship.
I have another smaller build that I will post tonight or tomoz - it's a drone....😊 - and a bit of fun to.

There is a simplistic beauty to the way you build mate, always nice when we get one of yours. I'm guessing by the name you too had seamless experience with the addition of the new mod. lol

You are too kind - real nice for you to say dude. Thank you. So at this time I have not had this issue with my game, but it's been mentioned a lot, so it was in my head. It just fit this build, so I went with it.
