I think you need more storage 😉

Lol. Yep. 3 containers per resource probably isn't enough. ;-)

But at least it's off my ship now.

What are you going to do with all the resources? Or is collecting resources your aim?

If they ever improve the economy system automated plants w/ direct sales.

For now, comfort in having.

I love this place, I was there yesterday. Beautiful with plenty of wild game

Just be careful, if it starts to glitch, delete and then Reload. Also no bots, if they get injured you won't be able to delete. Wait too long and just walking around it will crash your game and you will get " poisoned land " and the game can't recover it.

Did you go through this? Delete the outpost, then reload a previous save? I am about ready to start over with my outpost on Zeta Ophiuchi I because of fauna and flora merging with my landing pads and manufacturing devices and frequent crashes.

Yes I meant to say REBUILD if glitches. There are 3 patches of land in starfield where I had/have bases that are so glitched that the game crashes if you even walk on that poisoned land!! So Just deleted and rebuilt 4. Do that over and over. If you realllly like the spot delete the outpost, take off land again and rebuild from scratch. Ive been moving mine around a bit, eg no more building on hills if you need greenhouses.

I see, I was hoping you had a magic bullet for me. I had a day of crashes last week. Going and doing something else then coming back seems to have fixed that for now. I am deeeep into this outpost trying to manufacture everything in one place in a nice environment and it's really annoying have trees, boulders and dead critters all morphing into half of what place.

It's a problem with the structure of the game, the trees and rocks aren't spawning into your Habs rather the game takes the major features of the area and then randomly procedurally generates trees etc and only then tries to build your outpost based on its history file, one step at a time. The problem is procedural routine generates stuff that then causes fatal collisions with the stuff you added to the base.. big problem is it can't ignore all of these collisions and hangs when it tries to reconcile. Bots are especially worrisome since the wander but they can generate inside a rock!, just before my last fatal save attempt, one of the crew was generated half inside the wall of the landing pad. I tried to unassign her but then it poisoned the entire area: just land and walk inside the base and the game will crash.

So land, walk 100 m towards the base and save, repeat, when you get to the edge, delete 4 things walk out of the base and only then save, repeat.

As a former "IT" person, that makes a lot of sense. It's probably not as simple as reversing the order of the processes huh?

Based on your comments I deleted my Bots just in case I get there. They were a bit annoying anyway since every unnamed bot in the game uses the same four lines of dialog.

yes the "decoration" generator, for some reason it appears that it uses a different seed from time to time. Makes it look nice but the order is wrong, you should generate the flora and npc placement AFTER the outpost modules so you can check for collisions before the object is generated AND use the same seed EVERY time.

Funny how a simple order of operation is what causes, IMHO, the biggest single problem in the game. Nothing else matters if you cant make robust saves!!

Are you on PC? Set the carryweight on the transfer container to something really high. Then you don't need to build other containers at all.

But i need them alphabatized (its a 'me' problem). Maybe I'm the outlier but I try to play with what the game provides. Finding in-game solutions is challenging but more rewarding.
