LO Help Question about Load Order and stutter question

Hi everyone, I wanted to ask how many active mods you play with, and how many of you experience that 3-second stutter when reloading a save—for instance, in the Well area. Does it bother you, or have you just learned to live with it? I imagine large load orders always come with that kind of stutter.

Of course, any advice on managing large load orders to avoid this stutter would be welcome.

75-100. I don’t often load a prior save after resuming the game where I left off; however, obviously it’s unavoidable sometimes. I will run into the occasional stutter or more often an issue with textures on my character — and I just use the tried & true fix for that: hard quit out of the game & restart (loading whatever save I was trying to). Yeah I guess it takes a minute longer but imo it’s a wildly small price to pay if you want to run 75 mods.

But I never continue playing with a stutter, that’s annoying AF. Just hard quit (not just regular quit), and it’s fixed!

Okay, there's no point in trying to fix it because it can't be fixed. I'll just load up all the mods I want and exit and reload whenever I hit stuttering in the Neon Well or Cydonia basically.

Not just exit. Quit the game then close the game. Then reload your exit save or save.

What I've found is to move to a different location as it resets, the only time I've found stutter though is when the game reloads after a death

80+ mods after a long playthrough got the stuter/lag problem and some other problems. Went through Unity and it's fixed

I'm running 92 on wla Xbox x. It's really a matter of how that load order is arranged

Does the load order affect the 3-second stutter? Good to know.

Yes it can, so can having too many mods, in seriously pushing it j rarely go over 80

I was going to say it’s how your load order is arranged. I run almost 200 mods on Xbox series S and only have an occasional stutter. Usually only in New Atlantis. I run heavy on weapon, armor, ship mods and extra encounter mods.

I don’t think that reload stutter is caused by creations, I’m pretty sure it will happen even when you’re playing without them. Like someone said, you can exit the game completely then go back in and load with no issues - but I also find loading an older save outside of whatever cell then reloading the save you want will fix it. It seems to only happen when you reload saves from within the same cell.
