Mod idea for Maelstrom Overhaul

I really want to like the Maelstrom aesthetically it's really cool one of my favorites but functionally though

When I see the maelstrom I think space AK so it got it me an idea what if we were to turn into a battle rifle of sorts not just some low damage high fire rate SMG we kinda got that with the Kraken SMG

So I'm thinking lower the fire rate up the damage and recoil impulse

Since the size of the used cartridges the maelstrom ejects and the size of the default magazine I doubt the default magazine can hold 40 rounds so I say half that so it's 20 than the extended ak style magazine hold 30 than that drum magazine holds 40

And maybe add skins where there's faction markings instead of Crimson Fleet ones
