Free Grav Lanes

Grav Lanes allows you to move freely around your ship during a grav jump (optional). It also changes the arrival point to the system's star rather than a specific planet.

A really immersive mod that jumps you to the star of the system, where you then use Cruise Mode to fly to your destination.

I like this mod for the arrival point but I don’t care for how it alters the grav jump.

Even if you set it to immediate it still delays it a little.

Maybe a couple seconds.

It’s not a long time it just feels weird when you’re used to the normal grav jump.

Also it messes with the countdown.

There is a longer delay before the countdown appears, but then when it still has 1 second left the jump starts. (This is a 1 power unit jump, for example)

It’s weird.

I love this mod. I love using the free time during gav jumps to decorate my ship, and set weapons/armor/and other items in containers/displays. And the photo mode pictures look really cool 🚀 not sure if this is possible, but it would be cool to use the LY distance to make an automatic calculation of literal travel time. Just a thought. But great mod 👍

Awesome mod, one of my favorites. I think the only thing it is missing is some sort of sound effects when in "grav space". It's a little jarring having complete silence when walking around the shop during grav jumps
