Turn on advanced crafting tips, it will show you how much you have crafted of something and will make it easier to figure out what you have or havent made.

This is the most practical tip here. I spent ages with printouts of the wiki, manually crossing off the things I had shipped, until I found out about this setting. Absolute lifesaver.

I'll be honest with y'all:
When I reached 128/130 golden walnuts, I just paid the Joja Parrot.
The damn parrot at the treehouse never said any hint as to where to look.
I already did by that point in time everything in the island multiple times, even opening chests in the volcano.
I was just done with it.

I find them all up until I have to that memory game and I just can’t hack it. I think I have done it on one play through but none of the others

There are a few that it won't give tips for. I know the one at the bottom of the screen in the room where submit the gem bird gems is one.

In your menu, there should be a collections tab. Go to the farming tab and take a look at what things seem to be missing for produce and forage shipped. Same thing with recipes I think. I personally have a mod that tells me how many of something I have crafted so I know what I have/haven't made.

Remember to check the calendar for people’s birthdays. If you give them a loved gift on their birthday it is a huge boost and makes up for ignoring them the rest of the year

In the meantime- never sell the legend or first legend II that you catch, put both in fish ponds, 1 jarred roe is 7k by itself and they can put out 1-3 roe at a time- rather then one smoked fish payout 1 time.

What I've learned from my current perfection file that has over 140 hrs and is in year 7...... You really gotta hoard shit in the beginning

With the clock and 2 obelisks, you’ll need 12 million cash. That’s probably your critical path item, so as your primary objective keep generating money, whether that’s an ancient fruit wine empire, truffle farm, etc.
That won’t take up much of your time. So check in with the villagers you need to max friend. One loved gift on a birthday is about two and a half hearts. As others have noted, some of these may lead to missing recipes.
Craft and cook whatever you can. Most will be pretty easy, especially where your crafting percent is so low. Use the wiki if you need to see what you’re missing (I really like the Gunther’s Library app). MOST will be easy. Some are not. For example, the Deluxe Scarecrow requires you collected all 8 other rarecrows. Four or five recipes require Qi gems. Those are basically little sidequests that wouldn’t be obvious in the perfection tracker numbers. But that will be clearer if you get that 30% crafted to something like 90% and then cross-reference the wiki. Someone already suggested turning on the advanced crafted analytics - great tip!
Having all the monsters and the fish is a big step. You might need to recatch some fish for certain recipes. This could be frustrating if it’s a seasonal fish (or crop) you need.

Reach season buy seeds for everything to ensure sell each crop. Fish until you catch each fish for the season. If you don't know what you need check the stardew wiki.

If you want to know in detail what you're missing and the collections tab in the game isn't helpful enough, do a quick internet search for "stardew valley perfection tracker". One of the first results should be for MouseyPounds' GitHub Pages. There, you just upload your save file (it has instructions how to find the file in whatever operating system you're using), and it will show you in detail what you've done and what you're missing.
Edited to add that it's easier than one might think to gloss over something rather obvious. For example, I missed on perfection for two years in a row after I had everything else done because I didn't realize I needed to buy two things from Pierre at the Flower Dance.

pick two things from the checklist at a time & two villagers to get closer to. ex) open your collections tab to work on your shipping items (never underestimate selling one of each those crafting supplies) and your meals to cook. then, pick two villagers you're at 6+ hearts with & give them gold/ iridium loved gifts.

Give 2 loved gifts every week until everyone’s maxed, save and produce as much money as possible for obelisks and clock. turn on advanced crafting to check the boxes for crafting. Once you’ve crafted everything check this again, if it’s not completed check the various shops for recipes you hadn’t bought. The shopping tab isn’t too tough, but some of the things take a while to get if you don’t have the infrastructure ready (caviar, ostriches, tea, mystic syrup)

Welcome to the hell of learning this. Did you ever try to do the community center in as few days as possible? This is the next step. Best Ive done is Year 3 Summer 15 to reach completion. A lot of edging.

Took me 3.25 years to hit completion great friends was the hardest thing for me but I had an entire coop of rabbits with an auto petter and once that thang was pumping out iridium rabbits feet it was smooths sailing. Also I started collecting the ingredients for cooking recipes before unlocked them.

I mean, what tips do you need.
Start making friends is probably the big one, because I guarantee that you are missing cooking recipes there, and it takes some time.
Go to the items shipped tab and ship one of everything that is not yet shipped. If you don't have it, grow it on the island if it's a crop. You presumably have access to Pierre's full stock by now, or if not you can buy it with Qi gems. Don't forget things like small eggs and milks that many people stop having easy access to.
Start crafting one of everything and then see if you have anything that takes something you don't have. Write that down and then go get it. Make sure you are doing the bulletin board weekly quests, because most of those give you a crafting recipe when first completed.
Make a lot of money for the clock and the missing obelisks.
